? If your first DVC purchase was resale....

How long did it take DVC to send your membership book? No one seems to be able to tell me how long I will have to wait.... (talked to my guide... MS....) They say I am in the system to get one.... but they have no clue how long it will be.


Will it come with my final paperwork from the resale (we closed 3 weeks ago... any idea when the paperwork will arrive??)

Based on our experience, it takes about a month to get the recorded deed following the closing of a resale. Initially did not get a membership book--had to ask for it. We did get the regular mailings though and that allowed us to gradually pick up information without asking our guide. In six years, I've had two conversations with the guide--always seems to manage without him. You'll do fine...enjoy it.

Laura, if my memory serves me right, it took around a month following the resale closing for the book to arrive. I believe it just came with a "Welcome Home" cover letter. I think the closing documents were mailed separately, but came around the same time.

I don't remember how long it took, because I wasn't really waiting for it. It is nice to have, but between this board, and the DVC members-only website, all of the info you need to start using your membership to the fullest is already available to you.
