It's really a dumb story, but...

A group of girls and I were pretty active on another site. A troll came on and said that all of us must be a bunch of skanky housewives that had nothing to do in order to be on the computer all day. Well, since we are definitely skanky (even if we're not all SAHMs) we started calling ourselves the skanks and conducting a daily skank poll (you know, like--what's your favorite reality TV show and what's the dumbest thing you ever did while drinking). All in good fun, of course, and no one who was participating was offended.

Well, lo and behold, a mod from a different board came on to our board and said, "I am horribly offended by that word and this is a family site, and yadda yadda yadda"--then like 20 people chimed in and said that they were horribly offended by that word, too---after we had been using it for like 8 weeks .

So, we packed up our skanky Wal-Mart cyber bags and moved on. However all of us love to use the word skank, because (IOHO, of course) of all the offensive words in the English language, it's pretty dang mild.

If I hadn't already been registered here as AmyA, I would have put skank somwhere in my username.

I am proud to be a skank !!!

Mine is so unimaginative and it gets screwed up a lot.


Maybe Lou Lou It's a nickname my mom has called me since I was little. Kind of goofy I know, but I like it.

Or even just my first and middle name would be fine too.
