So you have $3000 for lets say a 7 day/6 night honeymoom at WDW. Where would you stay. I was thinking the Polynesian, but wanted to know what you suggested.

:wave2: Jason

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 2 big thumbs up from me!! The Poly is our all time favorite resort.

We recently got back from our summer vacation at The Poly :cloud9: still wishing I was back there!

Renee,

Just based on my calculations and the WDW reservation site, I figure that we could get a garden view room for $314.60 a night ($1888 total) with the 15% off AAA discount. Add in 7 day park hopper passes ($528) and we are looking at under $2500 for our hotel and park passes which to me isn't to bad at all.

Be sure that they know it'll be your honeymoon, you may get a free up-grade :thumbsup2

Renee,

Really I didn't know that. Do you tell them when you book the reservation or when you check in.

Be sure to tell them at the time of booking!!!

extras and freebies are always a possiblity :woohoo:

If we weren't getting such a good deal on GF, we'd stay at Animal Kingdom. I love the idea of waking up and seeing giraffes outside my balcony! The whole ambiance and everything is so unique. The Poly is another unique choice. People llike it because it has an islandy feel. I don't think you can go wrong. If you go during off season, you can get a great deal. Try Small World Vacations.

We stayed at the Poly for our wedding/honeymoon and absolutely loved it. :)

jojoandhb,

Well it probably would be value season so we would get a cheaper rate.

We stayed at the Yacht Club resort. It was fantastic. The location is wonderful as you have the Boardwalk and Epcot within a few minutes walk, plus you can use the facilities at the Beach Club just next door. Some of my guests stayed at the BC, and loved it there also. I give it the thumbs up.

I am going to suggest Wilderness Lodge. It has a very romantic feel and is pretty quiet around the resort. I would really look into it!

Thats where we will be staying for our honeymoon!

I love all the EPCOT area resorts, the Boardwalk being my personal favorite. I have never stayed that Poly, but I think it would be a great resort for a honeymoon.

We usually stay at the GF and it was awesome for the wedding/honeymoon, but I would LOVE to stay ay Wilderness Lodge or AKL!

We stayed at the Poly and loved it. That being said, depending on what else you would want to do POFQ is very romantic and you have extra money for more expensive meals, activities, etc.

JonetteA,

Extra money for other things would be nice especially after covering most the wedding ourselves. It would only be $1010 for 7 nights + 530 for the tickets, that would only come to $1540 which would save us $1000. Not a bad idea as long as it's very romantic.

I have no problem spending the $2500 since this is a once in a life time thing (honeymoon that is) if it is going to make it more special at Poly.

I have been to WDW about 4 times in the last 5 years, but she hasn't been there in 20 years so I want to make this as special as possible for her.

For my honeymoon, if I'd had the $$$ I would've stayed at the Grand Floridian!

DH and I stayed at the Boardwalk for our wedding/honeymoon...and we fell in love with the resort!

One thing to consider...during certain times of the year the parks close earlier and some resorts don't have a lot of "evening" entertainment (of course, for your honeymoon, you may not need it ;) ).

For us, one of the advantages to being at the BWI was still having some after hours "atmosphere" without having to take a bus. There is the carnival atmosphere on the boardwalk, Jellyrolls, and the Atlantic Dance Hall.

We are staying at the POFQ for our honeymoon. We weighed all of the pros and cons and decided that it is not as crowded and there are a few less kids running around! I love the Poly but figured it would be better with family! just my 2 cents!:bride:

I would go with Port Orleans Riverside. The mansions are beautiful and so is the river! There are children at every resort in Disney, but POR seems to have fewer, so a lot more romantic!

If I weren't a DVC member (I'm staying at Saratoga for mine), I would splurge on the Grand Floridian. We've never stayed there before, as it doesn't really appeal to my kids. But, it is lovely, and has some great dining.

Other choices would be the Poly, because of the romantic theming, or WL, or YC/BC because of it's proximity to the Boardwalk and Epcot. Have fun choosing.
