Was there a character breakfast? I'd heard there was, but it was now ticketed. However, shoreside concierge said there isn't one anymore. Since they aren't always on top of such things.

Thanks!

We were in Alaska in June and at that time it was not yet a ticketed event. We had a designated morning in Parrot Cay and the time and date was on the dining tickets that are in your room upon arrival.

This was our experience as well (early June sailing)

We were on the 8/3-8/10/15 sailing. You will have to go guest service to request a ticket for the character breakfast.

On 8/10 cruise it was ticketed, and apparently not a lot take advantage? I say this because our head server came around one night seeing if anyone at his tables wanted to do a second one...

Sometime at the end of June - beginning of July it switched from being an automatic ticket left in your room to a ticketed event that needs to be requested.

More recent cruisers have chimed in already but on our June 29th cruise it was ticketed (we got it the day we got on board) and PACKED! I believe it also "sold out" on ours since our table mates had no idea about it until we mentioned it and the next night they said they couldn't get tickets.

So character breakfast is now a choice? Like you specifically have to ask for it? All these things I thought I knew from cruising before and could help my newbie friends out, but it's all changing. And not for the better, in my opinion

On the 7/6 cruise, it was ticketed (we requested the first day at guest services) and our seating was full.

It officially became a ticket event on the 6/29/2015 sailing on the Wonder. The last Wonder sailing with an un ticketed breakfast in Parrot Cay was the 6/22 sailing.

Another question to toss in - what characters did they have? The "regular" group or Disney Jr. characters?

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto for ours. Or at least that's who I have pictures of and remember. Sadly no Jr Characters. My little one would have just lost it if Jake or Sofia showed up.

I was asking because we've always had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale for our character breakfasts (both on the Magic & Wonder). But the new, ticketed event was being tested on the Fantasy earlier this summer (don't know if it's still going on) and they had the Disney Jr. characters. So I was just curious if that was what they were doing now.

BTW The Magic has a classic ticket character breakfast with Mickey Minnie Goofy Pluto. Very good we did it a few weeks ago.
