would Palm Sunday deter you from going to an Open House in the afternoon?

Yesterday afternoon my DD & her DH put the For Sale sign on their lawn - along with one of those tubes that you put the flyers in with all the info - and in a matter of 3 hours, 12 people stopped to pick one up..

Today my son-in-law is putting the ad in the paper - along with an Open House for next Sunday afternoon - and it just dawned on me that it will be Palm Sunday..

Would that be a problem for you if you were looking to buy a house?

Well to some people it is just another Sunday so why not

The amount of people who it may be a problem for compared to the overall amount of people looking to purchase a home will probably be slim.

It wouldn't deter me. I am a Catholic and go to Mass in the AM. There's no other special Palm Sunday activites that I know of. I usually just do the normal Sunday stuff, and if I was looking for a house, then I'd have no qualms about looking on Palm Sunday.

Hi C. Ann :wave2:

I agree with Disney Doll ~ aside from going to church in the morning, its not an official holiday so I see no point in postponing the open house.

Who knows, perhaps Devine Intervention will occur that day & the house will sell for full asking price to the first 'looker!' ;)

Good luck!

P.S. I'm just dying to hear some more of your Bear stories!! ;)

No way, Of course I love home shoppping and would do it in a storm too! You need to get that house sold and if there is someone out there who is looking, Palm Sunday or not they will pound pavement looking because at least for me there is an urgency about finding THE house. They may get lucky and get some crazy people like my DH who fell in love with the house we are in because the Kitchen is in the front hence not cookie cutter so we looked at the open house and circled the block and went and made the previous owner an offer, which we found out later was $5000 too high, but we love it here!

No, I don't think so. I don't think I would go look for a house on Easter, but Palm Sunday wouldn't stop me.

Great news! He went ahead and put the ad in the paper..

Now I'm off in a little bit here to buy some totes so I can start packing up the stuff I'm gong to keep..

That will probably take me forever - I'm such a pack rat.. Anyone wanna come over and force me to part with stuff??
