If you were having a procedure done (cosmetic surgery)

I can understand the people who don't want to go around telling everyone about it but I have never understood the people who flat out lie about it when questioned. It just makes them look stupid whenever they get caught.
I think the one doing the questioning and trying to "catch" someone in a lie about something that is no one else's business is the one who looks stupid. :confused3 JMHO

I have had plastic surgery. I had it done in the winter, was wearing bulky clothes for months, and wasn't out for any kind of obvious look whatsoever. Whether or not anyone noticed, I don't know...maybe I just have classier friends who don't "question" people about their bodies. The ones I did tell were surprised months after the fact, because it wasn't obvious.

I had a soccer mom friend years ago who was flat as a board, but wore "falsies". She had scheduled, and then canceled, a **** job one summer. The following summer she had rescheduled and I was in California when she had it done...I called to see how she was doing, and she was happy and upbeat and energetic...NOT what you'd expect after major surgery. When I came home, she looked the same (with clothes on)...nothing looked obvious, because she only had implants to bring her to the size of the falsies she always wore...no one was the wiser. (But she loved them so much, she'd show and tell anyone and everyone. )

Not everyone is out for basketball ****s like the Real Housewives of OC. Those big bulgy under-their-necks vane-y monstrosities are gross.

I wouldn't be concerned about that if I deny having had plastic surgery. I don't see it as getting caught, I see it as some nosy rosies not wanting to let it be and get the message that I ain't spilling it!

I am having PS and yep everyone knows.

I can't wait to show the new improved me. I had weight loss surgery now having a little clean-up of excess skin. I may even have a thing or 2 brightened LOL!!

i had gastric bypass surgery 7 years ago and lost a LOT of weight, but can't afford excess skin removal. i'm so jealous! good luck! :cheer2:

ETA: if i could afford plastic surgery to remove my excess skin, i'd be so happy i'd shout it to the rooftops and wouldn't care who knew, lol.

No way would I tell people in general. I would tell people whose opinion I valued while trying to make the decision and then I would tell dh, dd, son in law, my parents and inlaws.
After the fact I'm sure I'd be upfront with everyone but not before. I have no need to hear everyone's opinion and it seems like on stuff like that everyone has one, lol.

I haven't needed anything yet but I'm 27 so who knows when :sad2: but when I do I don't think I would tell anyone (except who would have to know, obviously, my husband and son and maybe my parents)

I had a breast reduction and told people. My friends even bought me new bras as presents:rotfl2:

I wouldn't have a procedure in the first place.

But, I don't see the point in trying to keep stuff like that secret.

I wouldn't tell anyone, I would just act like I have no ideal why I become so sexy :confused3

I had a nose job done years ago (whenever the OJ trial was on) and told alot of people. I initially went in for obstruction and the doctor who was head of surgery asked me if I wanted the "hump" removed :lmao: It was a teaching hospital and I guess he wanted someone to demonstrate to. It was covered through insurance, so why not? I had the hump removed and the tip fixed.

I was so dumb that right after surgery I asked my mom to take me to my work (sheriff's department) to show them. My mom failed to tell me that they hadn't even washed off the yellow junk on my face.
I was just so pleased I had it done and was still quite out of it from surgery.
The captain had to tell me to go home and go to bed.

Aftre 4 kids if I could afford a tummy tuck, I'd be showing everyone!

I had ps done and told friends, family and coworkers that I talk to regularly. No reason to tell coworkers that I don't talk to.

Very happy with the decision I made.

I told everyone!! I went from an A to a D (yelp got those done) so it would be totally obvious to everyone anyway. We actually had a countdown going and we celebrated the girls yearly at work with matching cupcakes.
In my case since the girls were going to enter a room for the first time in my life before me it would be senseless to lie or try to hide them. Plus I was dang proud of getting them done after wanting it for about 20 years.
And when it gets to the point of me needing a facelift done (which is coming up faster than I would care to admit) I will be letting everyone know that too.

(((hugs)))

I had wls in 2002 and had the excess skin on my chest and abdomen removed.

Problem is, my arms and legs were always where I carried my weight. I'm just too chicken after the chest and abdomen to do the parts that really need it. I had the two procedures done 5 months apart and they HURT!

Haha..same with me. Went from an A to D. Told everyone before the surgery. They would've noticed anyway. At the time everyone in my office was male. No way they wouldn't have noticed. haha.
It was something I wanted to do for a few years, so I was very excited!

I'd probably tell close friends and family UNLESS it was a procedure that wouldn't be noticable. Then I'd keep it to myself.

Plastic surgery has proven to be a boon for many people with the advancement in the field of science and technology. There has been a tremendous change in the life of a large number of people due to the innovative form of cosmetic surgery being carried out all over the world at a large scale.

I would and am. Im having some done this year after a huge weight loss so Im having the excess skin dealt with. And those I didn't tell, Id have no problem telling them afterwards.

I know some people are critical and opinionated. I mean, the "advice" I had to hear while I was losing weight was ridiculous that yes, I didn't talk about it but I really don't care what they think about the surgery LOL

That is what Im having done but Im doing them at the same time!! I didn't have WLS but I did take off 99 lbs. I just want 1 anethesia and 1 recovery! I would love to do my arms and thighs too but that would take another surgery and money rules so I must prioritize. :)
