what brand would you buy? I'm looking at Crocs and Reef brand, both of wich I've heard are very comfy! What have you had experiance with? We are going this October and with this hot weather we are having down here in the southern states, I'm expecting it to be hotter than normal Octobers. I want to wear flip flops and would love some advice! Thanks so much!!

I need arch support so am willing to pay a little more to keep my feet comfortable all day. My favorite flip flops for WDW in order of preference are: OluKai Ohanas, Skecher Tone Ups, Orthoheels Wave or Tide, Montrail Molokinis, and Fit Flops.

I do have several pairs of Reefs and and a couple of pairs of Crocs, but they are not as comfortable as the others I mentioned. The Crocs are way too slippery when wet. I've slipped on wet pavement in two different pairs of new Crocs.

Before I got plantar fasciitis in my left foot, my favorite flip flops for WDW were Teva Mush, Nike Celso, Reefs, or Sanuck Yoga Mats. This past year they've changed the Teva Mush though and they are no where near as comfortable as they used to be.

I would highly recommend Chaco sandals and flip flops. Since they were originally made for raft guides, both are made with a tread that sticks even if they are on a wet surface. The also have an excellent arch support as well as very comforatable footbed. The way the straps on their flip are cut, it holds the shoe closer to your foot and does not "flop" around as much as your regular flip flops. You also may want to take the time to look at some of their other sandals as well. I've worn nothing but their Z/2's for the last 10 years during the summer. They are fantastic shoes.

I would definately vote for the PP option of flip flops that will stick when wet. Would not want to chance slipping and getting hurt on vacation. I took a spill on my croc flip flops and a wet garage floor and broke a toe!!!! And I was not able to wear a tennis shoe for a few weeks.

I am wearing Orthoheels if you don't have major foot issues any good pair of flip flops may do, but I have achilles tendonitis and plantar fascitis :thumbsup2

I don't wear flip flops very often at WDW but I have found that the Teva Mush is the most comfortable and easiest to walk in for an extended period of time.

I've had very good luck with Nike flip flops. They're so comfortable, especially the piece that fits between your toes.

But my new favorites are not actually flip flops, they're athletic "slides." Mine are Under Armour brand, and they're some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! I like the fact that you don't have that piece that goes between your toes, which makes some flip flops uncomfortable.

I wear Teva Mush every day on vacation. I have 5 pairs I rotate through.

I have some Nike ones I bought at Kohl's that are super comfortable. I will be wearing them when we go next month.

Honestly, the best advice I can give is to go to a store that carries a bunch of these brands and just TRY THEM ON.

I've heard SO MUCH about Keens, FitFlops, Sanuks, Tevas, Birks and so on.

Stores that tend to carry these brands are typically outdoor type stores that also sell clothing and travelling gear.

Try them all on and walk around the store with them. That's the best way to find the shoes that work best for you.

Btw, I've tried these all on and my fave are Sanuks yoga mats, Crocs capris, and Champion fitflops.

I have always worn Reef flip flops in the parks. Our trips are usually 7-9 days and never a problem.

This year I bought crocs flip flops and I love them. The only problem with them is that if they get wet they are EXTREMELY slippery. (I found that out at the pool). With the rain in Florida I think I may have to go back to my Reefs

I were my OluKai Ohanas which have an arch however my wife can get away with wearing her rainbows. With all the walking at Disney you want to make sure you have a great pair of footwear that will not cause blisters or discomfort

As a person who believes that no sane person would wear shoes if they had to I firmly believe in the flip flop. However, I knew for the amount of time I would be on my feet at Disney this summer that my feet would be destroyed if I wore my flip flops. I went to a small shoe store locally and bought a pair of ecco sandals. The best $125 I have ever sprent for footwear. Total arch support and excellent rubber treds. I wore them all throughout my Vegas trip last month and my feet felt no pain.

FitFlops! I wore mine for 10 days straight at WDW and never had a blister. They have soooo much cushion that I don't think my feet would have felt better in any other shoe. But that being said, I can only wear the sequin versions comfortably, the canvas ones just don't fit my foot very well. Which broke my heart when I couldn't get a Mickey pair . But like PP said, it really depends on your preference, just keep trying them on.

I have been buying reefs for years now..they are super comfy and fit nicely. I usually buy male reefs, but I am female. I find that they stretch out quickly, so if you find a perfect size it may be too big after a while.

I wear Reef or Teva Mush flip flops all summer. Crocs I find to be slippery when they get wet. The Teva and Reef flip flops also dry out quickly if they get wet.

:wizard: I wear my Teva Mush flip flops all the time and have loved them. However, they changed them this year to Teva Mush II and not being so happy with the new ones I went out and got Rainbows. So far I love them! I'm heading to WDW in 4 days so I'll get a chance to put them to the test!
