If you were a CM in a park what would you want to do?

I would like to be Cinderella, but my form qualifies me more toward being the Fairy Godmother. I'd like to do just about anything at WDW, I wonder if they have any jobs for nurses, he he! I think when I retire i'll move to Florida and work at WDW part time, it would sure beat being a greeter at WalMart! I'd rather be a greeter at SSR!

Anything in air conditioning =) I've been to Florida in July one too many times, and would never want to stand out there for 8 or more hours a day - sounds great to stand out there and greet people or sweep floors, but it would get real old in that heat and humidity.

The magic is just as magical INSIDE the air conditioning! LOL

I'd love to be Cinderella or Snow White just to see the little girls light up. It has to be such a magical job.

When I was a CM (many moons ago) I worked in Future World at Journey Into Imagination, World of Motion, Horizons and Living Seas and at the Studios at the Backstage Studio Tour and Let's Make A Deal. My favorite job though was teaching the Innovations in Action seminar to biz groups (kind of like the Backstage Magic and KTTK tour but more in depth and with more stops like the Tree Farm and Waste Water Treatment Plant).

If I ever get to go back (I plan to retire there) I would be happy working again on any of the rides at EC - probably back to Seas if I had to pick just one. I never wanted to work MK because I didnt want to lose any of the magic that I still got when I went to the MK on my days off.

:)

I guess my most logical choice would be the nurse at WDW. I've already threatened to apply and told my DH he would just have to follow me because if Mickey called...I'd certainly answer. :earboy2:
If I couldn't do that, I think I'd like to work in one of the shops on Main Street...truthfully, if I thought I could get a job doing ANYTHING at Disney I'd do it.
The monorail driver idea sounds good too....okay, I'll shut up now! :Pinkbounc

I always wanted to be a Tour/Park guide. The joke in my family was after we went on a trip/vacation I would play Tour Guide.
I'm an Aerobics Instructor. I wouldn't mind teaching fitness as a Disney facility. I'm sure that the Princesses need to keep in tip top shape. *I think it would be awesome have a Yoga class at AK in front of Tree of Life.

I'm a nurse in my everyday life, so I tell everyone that when I go to work at Disney I want to be greeting and talking. I think alot of nurses are going to retire at Disney. I'll work anywhere that I don't have to wear a jumpsuit ,I don't think it'll be flattering on me.

If I could fill and CM position in all of disney world then i most likely would want to work at HM or ToT or even splash mountain. Basicly id love to do any cast member job except for maybe small world just becuase the song would get old very quickly, lol. :earboy2:

Great topic and really cool answers from everyone :)

I have a few things I'd like to be:

Maybe scriptwriter for some of the rides. I dont really have any technical expertise so "imagineer" might be beyond my range (though if you can dream it you can do it!) but i can see myself contributing creatively to the storyline theming, script, and little touches :)

On another side of the spectrum, I'd love to try being the Mad Hatter! I love how he interacts with everyone in the parks and ive always been a fan of his characer and the Alice in Wonderland movie. Just making people smile and laugh as him would be amazing :)

And my final choice....if i HAD to be anything, if they were just "forcing" me to and "twisting my arm"....then I'd "settle" for being the official taste-tester for the Main Street Confectionary :) But only if they MADE me do it! :rotfl2:

Photographer ...I love taking pictures !!

I would love to work at the Canadian Pavillion. I would get to meet people from my country and chat with them.

Working with the kids at the kidcot stops and stamp their masks...that would be awesome. That is one of the many things I enjoy when I go to WDW, getting to talk with CM's from around the world.

My #1 choice would be a tour guide, leading Keys to the Kingdom or Hidden Treasures of the World Showcase, etc! What's more fun than sharing your love & knowledge of WDW?

Also..
-Design new parks/rides/resorts!
- Drive the boat from the WL to MK or Poly to MK!
- be a face character- interacting with the kids would be so much fun! I've been a fur character elsewhere, though, and it's too hot! I'll take the Princess dress, thanks ;)
- dancer at FOLK
- front desk @ WL just to get to spend all day in that lobby!
- HM, so I could wear a "hat w/ a bat!"
- be the bellydancer for MoRockin at Epcot!
- Safari driver

I would love to work in some capacity at the AK... giving behind the scenes tours ... helping care for the animals...designing new exhibits! GREAT question! :cloud9:

I would love to be a part of their horticulture team. Putzing with plants all day in waaaaaarrrrrrrrmm weather would be a retirement dream come true. In fact, if I could get a job doing that I would retire there instead of Arizona or North Carolina. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

my ideal job would be to pilot one of the small launches that ferry people around 7seas lagoon and bay lake. small boats would give me the opportunity to interact with people more and share my love of WDW with them .

i would really enjoy working any of the rides in MK especially Splash mountain. or honestly just being a CM and roaming the park to help people along.

My ultimate Disney World job would be to be the life guard that sits at the bottom of Summit Plummit and collects all the bikini tops. :goodvibes Is that wrong?

I want to be the Fairy Godmother! When we met her she was sitting on that big throne in the castle in her pretty, sparkly robe. She was so much fun. I love her signature as well. Plus, my figure is unfortunately not that of the princesses. I am definately more suited to be the Fairy Godmother. I would think that her robe would hide a multitude of sins. ;)

Two choices, I would want to be a Character handler. I have so much fun watching people with the characters, but can be tough enough when it's time to go.

I would also want to captain the boat that goes from Epcot to MGM and all points in between. The last time we took the kids we had a female captain and she was so inspirational to my dd. I also really enjoy that ride back and forth I think it would be great to do that all day.

I want to be Mickey Mouse :earsboy: .... but since I am 6'4" that will never be the case; so my 2nd choice would be a character in the hoop de doo review.
