Well, that is a question that needs more factors. First off, how long do you plan to stay in the area?

How many days at the Disneyland Resort?

Will you have a rental car?

What else do you want to do in the area?

What type of accomidations do you want, and how much are you willing to pay?

Do you want to stay near the Beach/Ocean?

How about visiting Buena Park?

The general Anaheim area that focuses on Disneyland and similar attractions has Lodging in Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange and Buena Park, but all are inland.

Close to the beach is Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Long Beach.

So that is a start, the more info about you and your group, such as ages and likes/dislikes will help you get better answers.

what Darkbeer1 said, it really depends on what u want to do. To add to his list, if u want to do some shopping, South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa is a great place to check out.

Plenty of good Shopping options from the upscale South Coast Plaza to Outlet Malls, to those that have Entertainment as a major component.

Fashion Island
Irvine Spectrum
The Outlets at Orange
Buena Park Mall (lower price options)
Citadel Outlets
MainPlace Mall
The corner of Harbor and Orangethorpe in Fullerton

Without more info, I'd probably either still stay onsite or stay in the Newport Beach area.

Sorry ready wrote this on the forum this exact question. Tossing between this and South Africa. I am looking for luxury and to see San Diego, Disneyland Catalina Island , Mission San Juan Capistrano and possibly going to DF via air afterwards.
