If you used DVC pts for DCL let me know...

Good Morning..We are going next month for 3 nights on DCL (on DVC points). If you have done that recently, can you let me know how it went? We cannot look our reservation up online (because it was done with points.) and we have not gotten our doc's yet. I did a search and cannot find out any information on this. Did you pre-purchase any excursions? if so, do you call DVC (instead of DCL)? Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi, we used points for a 3 night DCL cruise in November and it went very smoothly. I did order the snorkeling excursion ahead of time, and I am pretty sure that I did it though MS. I know that you'll feel better about it when the documents are in your hands. Have fun!

We have taken 2 DCL trips on points. In general you don't get the doc's until about 30 days before, so don't sweat that too much. Everything will be fine. We were also quite worried, but it all worked out. The worst part in my mind is they never sent us our Castaway Club numbers, they went to MS instead.. So make sure you call in about a month after your cruise and get them.

If you prebook excursions, make certain to check with Guest Services if the tickets aren't in your room upon arrival. On our 10/16 cruise I wasn't worried when DH's scuba tickets weren't in the room, even though I'd made reservations 60 days out...turns out there was a mixup, and a good thing I had my fax from DCL and that I checked the first day of the cruise. All went well, but I was told that had I waited, or not had my faxed confirmation, the scuba for DH wouldn't have happened.

I used points but it was a long time ago. I'm pretty sure we called the excursion number to book them at the 60 day mark. Since DVC is prepaid, I'm not sure if excursions are available sooner now that they allow cash customers who have paid to book them as farther in advance if you are paid up.

Did you get a confirmation letter in the mail? If so, don't worry. If not, call MS and let them know you never received anything.
