If you stay off-site, can you use Disney buses?

Maybe, or they might simply be ridden out of WDW on a monorail rail.

It still escapes me how anyone would have the time to waste pool hopping; we've stayed at Pop twice now and never even used THAT pool! The parks and other stuff keep us way too busy for swimming, especially since we can do that at home.

We've pool hopped once in all of our WDW trips. We had a trip to the BWV that was pretty much a week of R&R, we spent very little time in the parks. One day we walked over to use SAB (this was obviously a long time ago when it was completely allowed, and it was also a slower season so we weren't taking anyone's chairs--the pool area wsa less than half full) and made an entire day out of it, then walked back. but to have to pack up and take a bus or drive between resorts to pool hop is beyond me. Now that SAB is off-limits to DVC members, there really sin't any pool worth doing that for. The pool at my resort will be as nice as any other WDW pool that a DVC member can hop to.

WASTE ??? Naahhh.....not the way we see it at all.
We're offsite timeshare owners, as well as DVC Members. After over 35 or so trips to WDW, our family really enjoys some "downtime" days and pool hopping has been something we've done over the years. Especially when we visit during the hot/humid summer months---spending a day or two out of a 10 day vacation hanging out at a pool is pure heaven to us. Don't always feel like fighting the masses in the parks on a 90 degree day. We just haven't done the "go-go commando" vacations that we used to do several years ago. Everyone enjoys WDW in their own way. Sometimes, sipping a pina colada by the pool as the kids go up and down the pool slide for a couple of hours is just what I need ;) :)

Rest assured, there are non-resort guests using the WDW transportation system to get to the deluxe pools!!! It does happen, I've overhead the off-site guests talking about it among themselves at the Polynesian pool. But, that's a whole different thread for a whole different board.
Those of you who are chastising ducklite (Anne) for her 'rudeness'....IMHO, I don't believe there has been any rudeness. Her comments have been taken out of context and misinterpreted here. Her 'local' comment was right on the money. WDW does need all three of these populations to thrive.

Again, all WDW transportation is for anyone holding a park pass. I, for the life of me, can't understand why this is so hard to get. WDW has told me, us, what the rules are. I am, in turn, telling you. If you choose not to believe it, based on old info you got, then that is up to you. But this is the definitive word from Disney....what more do you want?! I have talked to bus drivers, CMs at the resort desks, people in the 'offices' at Disney on the phone, sent emails....all have told me the exact same thing...all transportation is for any guest holding park passes, unless there is an extraordinary situation such as parks at capacity.
That's it.

I can't see why people cant find the disney information which tells this try...http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/tk1a.asp

it states Disney's 7 Day Premium Ticket entitles you to 7 days of unlimited admission to the four Disney Theme Parks

PLUS use of the Walt Disney World transportation system - monorails, water launches, and motor coaches

Is it practical to park at DTD and then bus to MK or other parks. I doubt it.

I think by this point in the thread everybody gets that perfectly well.

But there are some who feel insulted by the tone in others' posts and want to continue lambasting each other. And there are a few who want to continue the sour grapes of "well, it SHOULD be exclusive to on-site Guests!"

Maybe the time has come to close this thread. The question has been answered definitively multiple times throughout the thread and nothing is going on now but endless "nuh-uh" and "yuh-huh" and "you're a great big meany" and "nerts to you".
