or send another email to cancel it or leave a message in the office that you canceled it.

I came home and rechecked the email (that I had already double checked before I left)-- Yearbook Committee meeting, 9am, Thursday, School Cafeteria. I showed up about 9:10 (I am always late), no meeting. Secretaries have no idea what I am talking about. No email sent to cancel it.

How hard is it to send an email? Or to call the school and say "If anyone shows up I have had something come up" I even told the person that I was coming to the meeting.

The fact that I spilled my coffee (with Peppermint Mocha creamer!) all over my car on the way back home made my bad mood even worse. :headache:

Ok we will. sorry;).......Sorry you had a bad morning....

Maybe they were there at 9, waited 5 minutes and left, figuring that you weren't coming. After all, the meeting was scheduled for 9, not 9:10.

:confused3

It wasn't my meeting. I was just one of the volunteers showing up. There was no reason to wait for me! And anyway, we have to sign in in the office and the Committe Chair--the one that scheduled the meeting-- hadn't signed in and no one had seen or heard from her.

I had a meeting canceled "after" the meeting was supposed to start. I work second shift but the meeting was set for 9am. So I had to rearrange my schedule and stuff to be here in the morning. I checked my email the day before, meeting was still on. Got to the office in the morning, meeting was still on. Left my office at 8:58am, made it to the conference room right at 9am. No one there. Waited for 15mins, still no one there. Checked the master calender, to make sure, yep, it was on there. Got back to my office around 9:20am. Checked email.....meeting was canceled at 9:12am. Great, I came in early for nothing.

People are so freakin' rude.:headache:

My boss is notorious for this. Even if you go to her office right before the meeting starts and ask her if she's coming. She'll tell you yes and then doesn't show. Her excuse..."I got busy with other things.":headache:

I did get an extremely apologetic email from her a little while ago. And I am not the type to stay mad so I was over it by mid morning.
