There are a lot of times that I cant eat a whole adult size meal. Will the servers let me order a kids meal at a TS?

Not only will they make you something off the kids meal, in most casses they will adult-size the portion. I can't remember where we were but both a mother and child daughter ordered mac & cheese and the moms portion was probably close to twice the size of her daughters (which made the daughter jelous from what I could see/here).

Another option... I rarely order an entree. Dessert is my favorite part of the meal, so I always have to leave room. Most kids meals aren't to my taste, so I order an appetizer instead. The portions are almost always large enough to more than fill me up, when I add a dessert. If I wasn't a dessert person, I may order 2 appetizers. I usually prefer those to entrees, because I'm not really fond of meat. On occasions when I do order an entree it isn't something they would have on a kid's meal. If you like the food offered in kid's meals, feel free to order that. If not, you may want to consider ordering an appetizer instead. :)

We were even allowed to do this at HBD. Our server said he could double or triple the size of the meal (chicken) if we wanted but we were fine with the smaller portion. We had to pay for our beverage (non-adult) though. Not sure if this is the case everywhere.

Just keep in mind that the kids' meals are not smaller portions of the adult meals, but entirely different options. You often see cheese pizza, meaty macaroni, chicken nuggets/breast/fingers, etc. I guess if I were really hungry I could eat it, but otherwise those options are not appealing at all to me. So, I would recommend perusing the menus on allears to see if there are any good kids' choices at the resturants you are going. Some restaurants have better options than others.

We've always been allowed to do so, but I seem to remember reading here several months ago about a guest who was told that her daughter, who was over 9, couldn't order of the kids menu. Does anyone else remember that???? It was either here or on another disney discussion board, but I'm pretty sure it was here. I don't remember all the details, but I think the restaurant they were eating at was the Plaza at MK.

My girls are both teenagers and still get the kids you pick meal at Sci Fi. Younger one is already talking about our upcoming trip. I mentioned lunch there and she named her menu choices :lmao:

Hi! I just replied to another thread on this same subject, asking if any one has had experience with ordering from the kids menu. Then I see this one!

I've ordered kids meals from QS, but didn't realize I could do the same at the TS locations. I might try this on our next trip, but it all depends on what the selections are.

FWIW, my daughters highly recommend the tomato soup and kids burgers at Sci Fi, the burger is a smaller version of the regular and they will do any toppings to request (DD loves grilled onions!)

Completely agree on the appetizer option. If you are OOP anyway, why not get something extra tasty but a smaller serving? Most TS have some good appetizer options, and the Signature TS have amazing ones!

We have never had a problems just ordering appies, though sometimes we share an entree.
