I'm taking my DD5 for her first taste of Disney in Sept. We have decided to do just a quick mommy/daughter trip. DH and I are both Disney lovers but unfortunately our checking account isn't on the same wave length. We know we will be back in a few years to do a full blown family trip. So this trip is just to wet her whistle.

DD will be 6 by then. She loves princesses and all girly things. Not so big on danger. She is a very hesitant child when it comes to action. She is very outgoing just not a thrill seeker. She is looking forward to the hotel, the shopping and of course the princesses. We've gone to a few fairs and an amusement park and she actually did well on the rides. She does talk about wanting to ride rides but I'm not sure how crazy she'll get.

For now I have only booked 2 day base MYW tickets. We will be there 3 nights. I wanted our first day to be easy since this is her first airplane ride as well. I have made ADRs for O'hanas so she can get a glimpse of the castle. I'm hoping to be there during fireworks.

The next day I planned to do MK and have ADRs for breakfast at CT.

I'm not sure how to do day 2. My thoughts are:
1. MK day 1, and add hopper to do Epcot and MK day 2
2. MK day 1 and pick either Epcot or MGM and no hopper added
3. Let her go at her own speed and just do MK both days.
4. Add a 3rd day of tickets and do MK first day once we arrive, MK day and then Epcot last full day.

Any suggestions? I've been to the world a few times as an adult so this trip is truly just for her. I want to do what makes the best sense for her.

I vote for option 3

Stick with the two day base for now.
Depending upon how you feel when you get off the plane and to your hotel, you could go to the MK or choose not to. You can always add a third day to the ticket if you need it while down there. Same goes true of hoppers. The best way is to underbuy what you think you need, then add it down there if you need it.
How much you cover MK by the first day probably might determine whether you'd want to do a second park. You could always decide then.
But if you and she did decide on another park, I would make it AK, rather than EP or MGM and go to AK early and hop back to MK when you got it done and possibly catch the night parade and Wishes as your last time in the park if she can stay up and they're scheduled.

I'd also vote for 2 days at MK. Your time will be so short, relax and enjoy MK.

I would do MK the first day and stay for fireworks, and add a hopper for the second. Second day do AK in the morning and then head to MGM and do a little there and stay for Fantasmic!

MK is a must for any little girl going to WDW! We took our 5&6 year old girls in January and they hated to leave. I told them that we would go back in a day or two but that we had other parks to visit also. After doing the other parks I told them that the following day was their choice and it took all of two seconds for their anwer-MK MK!!Ak is also a good choice for little ones, MGM is ok but there isn't as much to entertain 5 year olds except for PHD

I would do MK 2 days. We were there for 3 days last year with 2 little princess girls. We did Epcot on our middle day and it was a nice change of pace but I would not have felt complete without 2 days in MK. 1 day is not enough. This year we will have 5 days but I'm still not sure we'll go to MGM with little girls- it just doesn't look like their thing.

No contest! MK 2 days and as was said if you want the day add it and do AK... at that age MGM and Epcot will not offer much other than a whole lot of walking... There should be more than enough for her at MK to see. In Sept you should be plenty relaxed as far as crowd and pace and so you can feel totally comfortable letting her energy level set the tone... The only reason to do the others is if you and DH want to get your "fix" in and are just dying to see some "big kid" stuff... (which should not be overlooked).

Have fun!
