My DH has to go out to LA for 2 weeks for work. He will be free on a Sunday so he only has 1 day to do DL. I think he will buy a 1 day pass with the hopper option so he can go to both parks.

What would you suggest he not miss. Where would be a good place to eat either TS or CS or both?

Thanks!!

Have you been before? I would make sure he does Indy, POTC, Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn, (it's only at Disneyland). At DCA I woulding miss soarin' over California, Grizzly run, TS Mania. But it depends on what he likes. Does he like fast rides or the shows.

He has been to DL but it was about 35 years ago. He is not a fan of rollercoasters but he likes just about everything else. We have been to WDW many times so I guess he would want to do all the things exclusive to DL and I am pretty sure he will have to do Soarin as it is his favorite at WDW ;)

Do not waste time at a TS! DLR has some great CS options. In fact you can almost wait until you are hungry, look around and based on a little research choose the closest CS that appeals.

If I had one day... I'd definitely do the following which are exclusive to DLR: Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, Finding Nemo Subs... and of course the all-time faves for me would be Peter Pan's Flight, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. As for DCA...soarin' is a MUST and the aladdin show is awesome! :)

Unfortunately, no. He was told yesterday and leaves Sunday. Our kids are still in school and we already took them out early Dec to go to WDW.

I've done the one day trip before in the same situation. I used Ridemax and saw a whole lot (almost all) of DL in one day with my fiancee. One time we tried to do both parks in one saturday and it ended up being too much, we were so rushed and running around that it wasn't as fun as it could be.

If he is happy picking and choosing what he wants to see, I would say do the parkhopper, if he wants to feel like he did everything in a park, I would vote for just DL.

Good luck!

If he can last a full day, open to close in DL. He can go to DL at rope drop and ride a few things gather some FPs and then go over to DCA at its opening. Ride what he wants there and when it closes go back to DL. This will be night so it will be slowing down, he can use some of the FPs he got and ride what else that he missed. He can also work the single rider lines a bit too.

Like Judy said don't think about a TS. Not worth the time being alone. He should look at the CS's and find five that look good and when he gets hungry their will be one within 200 feet.
