at WDW what would you do?

So my DH and I as crazy as this is have decided as an anniversary present to ourselves we would go to WDW for the weekend. There was an airline sale and we got really cheap rates at the CB so........

Most of the trip we take are 5-8 days in length. We will be there from Sept. 12 (late arrival around 8pm) and leave at 4pm on Sept. 14. As you can see from our ticker below we will also be there in Oct. (we have an AP). We were going to bring our 17 mo. old son and then I figured I must be insane!---it would take just that long to get moving from the hotel room with him (plus it's our anniversary and we haven't had any "couple-time since he was born). And we will be taking him with us in Oct anyway.

So I ask, if you only had 1.5 days to spend at Disney what would you do? Including eating!!!!(one of my favorites).
Thanks!

I did this with at 25-month-old! It was the tail end of a conference. We found the crowds to be soooo low in early September that we did almost as much in that day and a half as we did on 4 days on our honeymoon (in August).

I'm sorry, I don't remember the details, but I know we hit MK pretty hard in a morning, and did MGM and Epcot, too. We had one of those rare 2-day park hopper passes. You'll be able to get any more done childless, I'm sure!

Have fun!

Oh, and I do remember we still had time to do a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's after spending the morning at MK!

Lucky you! Sounds like a fun spur of the moment get away!

What you could do is the night you get there go get a bite to eat at Downtown Disney, the Market Place or Boardwalk. If you went to the Boardwalk you could have some fun at Jellyrolls after dinner.Or head for Pleasure Island for some food and fun!

On your full day decide what your favorite things are to see and do.We'd probably go to MGM for a few turns on RnR and ToT.We'd for sure spend the late afternoon and evening in EPCOT.My DH and I loooove Alfredo's in the Italian pavillion. Make sure to try out Mission Space and watch Illuminations. Then after the park closes you could always head to one of the night life places I mentioned above! The Cresent Lake at the Boardwalk is a romantic place to take a stroll by the way! ;)

On the last morning knowing DH and I we'd sleep in a bit! LOL! Then maybe try and get to MK for a ride on a couple of our faves,SPLMT,HM and BTMRR.

I love having APs.It gives us the freedom to come and go as we please even if we just spend a couple hrs in a park,I don't feel like I'm wasting precious ticket time anymore.:)

Have a great trip!

Well, I would RELAX!!!!!!!!!!! Opportunities like this don't come everyday!!!

I would make a vow, that no matter how much I love the ride, a long line is not worth wasting my time. Don't do it or use FP

I'd enjoy each other in that wonderful environment, more than I'd worry about the rides etc.

Is there a boat from CB to Downtown Disney??? I'd pick a nice quiet restaurant there and have a nice slow quiet dinner. Maybe walk around a bit and that's it or go back and have a nice nite time swim in the pool.

On Saturday, I'd have a late breakfast at someplace really nice, then I'd go to my favorite park and walk around, go on rides with short lines or with fast passes, but not really try to do anything, but relax. Epcot would be perfect to enjoy checking out all the nooks and crannies. Have a drink here and a dessert there.

Eat at another neat place for a dinner. California Grill during fireworks, Artist Point, Jiko's. Go to my favorite night time show, walk on the Boardwalk, quiet dip in the pool.

Sunday I'd definitely sleep in again!!! Another late breakfast at someplace quiet or special. Kona Cafe is supposed to be nice. Pick another park and enjoy whatever you can without worrying about what you exactly do.

I'd make it a QUIET (I'm sure you don't get much of that), stressfree, relaxing, romantic time. You're doing it on a whim, why don't you spend your days "on a whim". Why don't you not even plan and just do whatever you want to do at the minute. Save your planning for October. I'll bet it would turn out really magical!!!

We Went for a quick trip in june, two nights three days, Had such a good time we are going back for a quick two nights in Dec also, we felt like we were gone for a week, have fun!!

I'd stick to the Epcot/MGM/Boardwalk area--at least for your full day. If you can't can't a two day park hopper pass, you might want to go back and do one park on the next day. Can you get a hotel length of stay pass for two days??

I think the World Showcase is a very romantic place for couples and there are many great restaurants. MGM has so many fun rides and Fantasmic is a must see. It might be hard to pass up MK, but remember you'll be there again in just a few more weeks.
