what are your favorite 3 songs?

1. Boogie Shoes - KC and the Sunshine Band

2. You Sexy Thing - Hot Chocolate

3. December 1963 ( Oh What a Night ) - Frankie Valli and the Seaons ( I prefer the extended mix )

And right now I am listening to the Gap Band --- You Dropped a Bomb on Me ( on Sirius internet stream )

Carl Douglas--KUNG FOO FIGHTING--great BUMP Song :rotfl: :cool1:

Villiage People----YMCA :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Rick James--SUPER FREAK :cool1: :cool1:

Can't Get Enough Of Your Love - Barry White
Ring My Bell - Anita Ward
I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor

I was never a big disco person (not real popular in small town Indiana), but these songs always make me think of high school!

Another vote for Rick James - Superfreak

Sister Sledge - We are Family

The Weather Girls - Its Raining Men
Just thinking about it makes me want to go dig thru the closet for my sequined tube top(do they make these anymore? Hope not) and gold boots . :rotfl:

In addition to the ones listed above, I really liked (and in no particular order):

Stayin' Alive - Bee Gees

Get Down Tonight - KC and the Sunshine Band

Disco Inferno - Trammps

....Those were the days! Forget aerobics...dancing back then was a workout.

Get Down Tonight - KC And The Sunshine Band

Jive talkin' - The Bee Gees

I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor

I also loved the Village People and some of Donna Summers' stuff.

Well, I am not a 70s disco fan, but there are a few songs that will get me out on the dance floor quicker than you can say "disco duck":

YMCA
December 1963

And often I will dance to the following because I don't mind them and they have a good beat:

I will Survive
It's Raining Men

There are others I will dance to, but you guys will need to mention them first b/c I won't remember them on my own :teeth:

ALL OF THEM- I love disco! I am such a geek! :Pinkbounc

Me too, but I was able to manage my 3 favorite. It wasn't easy.

"don't leave me this way" i think that is the name of it. i'm thinking about singing this at karaoke tonight.

"Dancing Queen" by Abba
"Shake Your Booty" by KC & the Sunshine Band
"Car Wash" by Rose Royce

I love Dancing Queen so much that it is a ringtone on my cell phone!!!

I have to narrow it down to three??!! Okay, I'll try:

1. You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) - Sylvester

2. I Feel Love - Donna Summer

3. Disco Inferno - The Trammps (I liked this song before Saturday Night Fever came out and they played it to death)

Now someone should start a thread for the worst Disco songs ever! :teeth:

Hmm...

Don't Leave Me This Way by Thelma Houston

Burn Rubber on Me by The Gap Band

Bad Girls by Donna Summer

This was very hard to do...I have a million favorite songs!

Disco Inferno- The Trammps

Dancing Queen- Abba (have it as a ringtone!)

Turn the Beat Around- Vicki Sue Robinson

I love disco!! I play these songs at least once a day still :)

Last Dance ..... Donna Summer

Boogie Shoes .... KC Sunshine Band

Stayin Alive ...... Bee Gees

Anything BEE GEES!!!! DH loves Disco music and it's usually the stuff I cook to. He has BIG speakers installed all over the house (kitchen, too!) and our floors literally SHAKE!!!!   Oh, by the way, "The Donald" is a huge fan of Disco and he's gotten complaints from neighbors about his loud Disco music down in Palm Beach. The cops even get called on him!

Shame on you PD! Only 3....geesh. OK...

I have to go with this #1, since me and my friends would make up dance routines for hours. Might not be the "best" but it was my "disco" beginning.

#1) The Hustle - Van McCoy - 1975

#2) Funky Town - Lipps Inc. - 1979

#3) Night Fever - Bee Gees - 1977
