I'm reading the series and I'm on book number 3.

I wish this were a movie - Does anyone know if there will be a movie? Ohhhhh, who do you think would play Stephanie? Joe? Lula?

Which book is your favorite? Have you read them all?

Book 8 is my favorite. They get a little iffy around 12 or so, but the last book brought it all back home again. I can't wait for the new one in November.

My favorite was 13! Just read the new one and wasn't thrilled. A lot of the same old stuff.

I am looking forward to the movie in January even though I'm not 100% sure on the casting! The only one who is perfect to me is Sherri Shephard as Lula. She is exactly who I picture when I read!

My ideal cast would have been....
Stephanie: Alyssa Milano
Joe: Eddie Cibrian
Ranger: ?
Grandma: the old lady on Desperate Housewives
Joyce or Connie: Marissa Tomei

I used to be SOOOOO on team Morelli...but I just finished the 13th book and I'm leaning toward Ranger now....Seems like Morelli lost some of the banter he had with Stephanie(highlight for reason why I feel that way...I don't want to ruin it for anyone)

I just bought the new book and can't wait to read it! I'm also looking forward to the movie, but I'm not sure about Kathryn Heigl. I definitely pictured Stephanie differently! That said, I think Debbie Reynolds will be great as her grandma!

I'm up to book 4, and enjoying the series quite a bit so far. However, I just don't see Kathryn Heigl pulling off the Stephanie Plum role. I like Heigl, but she just isn't a good match for how I had Stephanie pictured. Oh well, hopefully they will at least stay true to the characters' attitudes toward each other, because the way they interact is what I love most about the books!

I love these books, I am a huge fan! I used to be all about Morelli, now I am team Ranger. I don't think JE will ever have Stephanie choose though because the appeal is having Ranger being forbidden. He kind of sweeps in and out of her life. If he was with her day in and out it would be boring. I kind of wish she would do a book where Ranger is involved with someone else to make Stephanie jealous. I love the descriptions of the Merry Men!

I hope JE keeps writing these books. I know she just switched publishers that's why she is having book come out in Nov when she just had one out in June.

I have read quite a few and love the series, especially being a Jersey girl myself. I read "Plum Spooky" this past summer and LOLed quite a few times!

I love the series and am on Team Ranger all the way. I'm excited to read the new one coming out in November, it seems like it is going to be different from the rest. I'm guessing she uses the plane ticket and goes somewhere. Which probably means there will be some new characters. Anyway, it has me interested and I can't wait.

Janet Evanovich is the author - the books are the "Plum" series.

I truly think Stephanie belongs with Joe. He is more settled and laid back than Ranger. And seems to truly love her more.

Not happy with the movie casting choice.. the movie is based on the first book. I have no desire to see it.


I have read them all and also did most on Audio book. That brings it more to life also.

me neither -- she's too young and nice looking for Grandma M. I was picturing someone not so ........you know..........fashionable. I was thinking gray hair and older looking.
