Do you take your shoes off once your in your office?

Do you do anything we should (or shouldn't) know about??? ;):lmao:

I have my own office and I dont' take off my shoes in my office, probably because the shoes I normally wear take too long to put on/take off :rotfl:

I don't do much in here, other than DIS and facebook that isn't "work"... not too interesting

I definitely take my shoes off; I have "hot feet" and can't stand to be in shoes any more than I have to! Luckily I work in an office of people who don't really give a carp, not to mention several of them also walk around without shoes (heck, we even have dogs in the office regularly). I don't go anywhere else in the office without shoes tho; I know MY area is clean of things to step on, but who knows outside of my space!

Do I take my shoes off in my office? Absolutely! :thumbsup2 How do you think I got that tag?! LOL!!

I don't take my shoes off. Mainly because the thermostat seems to always be set at -60 degrees and I'm always cold :). I don't do anything too crazy in here. Mainly just listen to WDW ride music/soundtracks. There's nothing that makes me happier than the "star tunnel" music in Space Mountain (I also listen to Bing Crosby Christmas music pretty much year round but shut it off when I hear someone coming. I feel like I'm having an affair with Bing! :rotfl:).

I used to have an office, but the thought of taking off my shoes never really occured to me.

Now that I think of it, in the summer, I DID take my sandals off!!!

My podiatrist would frown upon bare feet. I have my own "room" at a school, but I get a lot of visitors. I spend about half the time on my feet and the other half sitting at my desk. Not good for bare feet.

I don't have my own office anymore. But when I did I never took off my shoes. Door or not, it is very unprofessional.

Well then :snooty:

Guess I'm unprofessional. I'm sitting at work, typing on The Dis, eating a can of soup out of tupperware - no shoes, sitting Indian Style on my office chair.
Take me away "professional police" !!!!! :lmao::lmao:

At least I'm not wearing jeans today. :snooty:

I do not and I would not be happy if I saw anyone on my staff taking their shoes of in their offices either.

Sure I do! All the time. My feet are hidden from view under my desk anyway and if anyone comes in I do quickly slip them back on. In fact, I have a bit of a shoe collection under my desk at times when I wear in more comfortable shoes then switch to my heels once I get into work. Actually, lots of women I know do the same thing. I don't think its gross or unprofessional. I don't prop up my stocking feet on my desk for everyone to see! And I don't walk around the office with them off either.

But you know, I don't know any of the men in my office that do this. Maybe because the wear mostly laced up shoes. More likely their shoes are more comfortable so no need to take them off!

Well, so is DISing! :lmao:

If someone knocks on my door, I can slip on my shoes and click the red X as I'm saying, "I'm coming," and then open the door before they ever had a clue anything was amiss.

Farting, on the other hand, is far more difficult to cover up... :rotfl2:

I don't have an office, I'm not actually working either. But when we have morning report, or noon lectures in our conference hall, you can bet that just about all of us that wear "ugly shoes" takes them off to give our feet a rest. They're easy to just slip those shoes off and back on, it's fabulous. We're on our feet all day, they get tired. Heck, even our attending physician does it while she's writing notes at the nurses station, she'll take her shoes off and rest her feet on top of the shoes (hospital floors are too gross to actually put your feet on them).

Have my own office, never take off my shoes - only because I'm old enough to now sacrifice fashion for comfort! ;)

I have my own office and although I don't take my shoes off and walk around, I do change into flip flops all the time.... I put my regular shoes on when I leave my office. Obviously if I have an appointment I put my actual shoes on.... No one has ever made an issue about it.

I have my own office and I will confess to slipping off my shoes a time or two (mostly in the summer).

I don't think it's unprofessional. :confused3

The only other thing I do in my office (besides work) is listen to music and, every now and then, I sing.

I have my own office at work and I do slip off my shoes. I have a small, soft, fluffy area rug under the desk and if feels SO good on my feet. :cloud9:

Other things I do in my office - - - eat, drink, listen to music, go on the DIS (shhhhh).

I've taken my shoes off at work every single day for the last 15 years. If no one sees, who cares?

I take my shoes off all of the time in my office. I usually keep my door open unless I'm working on something that I really need to get done. I always try to put them back on if someone walks into my office. I never leave my office w/o my shoes on. I do sometimes walk around my office w/o my shoes on if I am just getting up to grab something out of my file cabinet.

I change shoes when the kids aren't in my classroom. Put my nice comfy slides on. I wouldn't walk barefoot in my classroom for any reason though. God only knows what's crawling around in my school.
