If you have ever used WDW FLORIST would you please post

1) when you used them (approximate)
2) what you ordered (try to describe it well so we can get an idea of what they offer):D
3) what the cost was (so we don't faint while on the phone)
4) if you were happy with what you received:p

I know alot of people wish WDW Florist would have a website! I think if everyone will try to post about their previous experience then we will be better prepared to know what is offered when we call them. Plus it will give us an idea of how creative they are!

Thanks for your input!

I haven't used them, and am glad that you've started this thread....Just a note, though. I was stunned that the WDW Florist has no written materials or a website! When I talked with the CM at the florist, she said that the more that complained, the sooner that something would be done about it!
Sooo...I sent an email to Disney to complain...I received a phone call 2 days later. I was told that my complaint would be forwarded on (to whom, I don't know!!) and they agreed that something should be done....
In the meantime, I guess we'll have to "help each other out"!!!

I'm also interested in this thread. I called and asked them to send me a brochure and they said they would but I was told on another phone call that they don't have a brochure. Go figure!! I doubt if I get anything in the mail now.

I have used the florist...

My parents went to Disney for their 25th wedding anniversary and I didn't know what to get! I called the florist (from Canada), and we talked for about 15-20 min. She asked what they liked if they drank, did they like flowers what kind of food did they like etc. I gave her a budget of $50 had it in the room after they got back from the parks and this is what my parents got: A big basket with two wine glasses a bottle of wine a small bouquet of flowers (for their table) and cheese and crackers and a card (from me and the pets of course!)

The woman was very helpful, I really had no idea what I could get or how much it would be, but the experience was really quite pleasant.

They can also get things other than what regular florists can get, anything Disney, if there is something special you would like they can get it.

Helpful hint - The more information you have about the recipient of the gift the better. Likes dislikes, allergies, etc. You must know where they are staying and if possible the dates of their trip. I knew what my parents routine was (when they ate when they were at the parks etc.) which helped in deciding when the gift was to arrive.

Hope this helps.

I have talked with WDW Florist recently and they said they are working on a website. now, when it launches, who knows? As far as cost, as was stated above, you can tell them your budget and they will give you options. they will also give you ideas. I am thinking about getting something for our upcoming anniversary, and they gave me a few ideas:

Mickey anniversary basket ($100): Champagne, mickey glasses, lotions, candles, towels.

This basket is $47 with no champagne and glasses.

There is a big fruit/cheese/wine (with Mickey glasses) basket for $100.

There are a number of baskets with balloons and a plush character.

She emphasized that they can put together any combination we want.

WDW Florist Phone Number -- (thanks to my Passporter!!) is #407-827-3505.

Thanks so much for the posts! DH and I will be spending our 3rd anniversary @ WL in October, and I would love to surprise him with something special!

I am thinking about the Mickey glasses/wine/cheese/fruit basket. It is sweet and romantic, plus (being practical) it will give us something to sip and nibble on while resting in our room! My parents had sent us similar basket to the resort on St. John where we stayed for our honemoon in '98, and we loved it!!!!

I will be calling WDW Florist in the AM and will report back!

Hey Krissalee !!

DW and I will be celebrating our 21st on 11 October at VWL (let's set up a toast place and time if you'll be there then)

I called about mid July and asked how I could surprise my DW. The young lady was very impressed about the 21 years (amazing how two people just click), and told us what we could order through them. Here's the order:

1 Magnum of Champagne with two nice Disney Champagne flutes (Mickey and Minnie)
1 Basket of stuff (think it had the lotions and towels and stuff)
1 Box of Pooh chocolates

Total cost $160.00

Was told though, that it couldn't be set inside the room until we had arrived. So when we get there, I'll make sure that the CMs at the desk know it's our anniversary.

Hope this helps everyone.

And to all of us who are celebrating either a Honeymoon or an Anniversary in October
- !CHEERS! - may many others follow in our stead!

Cheers,
Denis

I called them and they faxed me some sheets of what they had to offer -- no descriptions, unclear phots -- but from that I could narrow it down. When I called they described the items I was considereing in great detail.

I spent about $100 (maybe slightly over)...I got a basket of snacks & fruits, wine & 2 glasses, a Mickey & a Minnie doll, and a balloon. I was very satisfied. I don't think it was "cheap" but I would order it again!

Can't wait for a website, though...what's the hold up!!???

I'm new to the board but just wanted to add my experience with WDW Florist.
I had ordered a basket called Mickey's Cool Snacks. It arrived in a very nice and big white insulated bag filled with 2 cokes, varieties of potato chips, pretzels, chocolate bars (some of this stuff was Disney themed). It was filled with LOTS of stuff for a very reasonable price (I think it was like $30-$40).

Has anyone ordered a basket for their kids from WDW Florist?
I called them and was only faxed a price list, but it doesnt have any descriptions of what is in the basket.
Any info?
Thanks Janice

Bump!

Anyone else have an experience with WDW Florist to share?

We used WDW Florist in July of 2000. I ordered two dozen red roses in special Mickey vases to be delivered to the room for my wife and new daugther-in-law. The roses were there when they opened the the room and were beautiful! They were very helpful, this was all done over the phone, and the cost was approx for both $120.00 ($60.00 ea).

Here is what I did for my son....

I ordered a mixed food baket (I think $50) lots of great fruit, crackers.MM pretzels, a little M & M candy, some cheese.

I added on I think 5 beanies, two mylar balloons, and a small something (i can't remember)

The cost was a little under $100...It was packaged very nicely with a note "From the Disney Gang" (try all you want, they will not sign the card from Mickey Mouse).....oh yeah....I slipped in tickets to the MVMCP with a personal invitation)

My son still talks about this...It was 9 months ago! I will do it again!!!

Have a great anniversary. Just wanted to add one thing. We used to own a florist shop and wanted to give you this tip. If you are ordering flowers and don't have a preference on the flowers, tell the florist the colors you are looking for and you'll have a beautiful bouquet. For example, maybe the tulips he received that week were outstanding, then he has the flexibility to put those in the arrangement along with other flowers that are exceptional at that particular time. I have recommended this over and over to people and they always come back and say it was a great idea. Have a great trip.

We used the florist last Septmeber when we got married at Disney. My Husband also ordered
flowers to be delivered to the room. He ordered a dozen red roses. It was about 50.00, and they came in a beautiful vase with Mickey giving Minnie a flower echted on it that I could keep. They were the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen and I do get a lot of flowers. The flowers for the wedding were peach roses and they were also something I have never seen before, they were huge roses. If you order flowers from them I assure you they will surpass your expectations. I would highly recomend them.

Does anyone know how far in advance you have to order??? We are still planning on going at the end of Sept but I really don't want to invest any more money until it looks like everything to going to go okay. I would like to wait until a few days prior to our arrival before I order.

Thanks!

I was told that the WDW Florist was working on a website. Does anyone know about this? I was wondering when it would be up and running. I am interested in ordering something for December. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I asked the same question to the CM working at the florist (I think her name was Vicky)...anyway, she said that Disney has been "working" on the website and brochure FOREVER!!! It seems as though it has not been a high priority for the company.

She told me , though, that "the squeaky wheel gets the oil"...so I squeaked a bit and wrote an email to the company complaining that they need a site...I received a phone call a couple of days later telling me that my recommendation would be "passed on".....

Bottom line -- I wouldn't "hold my breath", waiting for the website....It will come eventually, but I would call and talk with them rather than wait for the website to appear!
