If you have an AP, how do you get emails from Disney?

I was reading the thread ref the new codes out for AP's. Several people stated they received emails from Disney with the new discount code. How do you sign up for emails? I searched the Disney World site but did not see how to sign up. Thanks for any help!

When we got our AP's last summer I believe we were asked to give them our email address. If you don't have an active AP, you won't get the emails. If you do have an active AP, you could go to the AP area on the Disney site and try to give them your email address there.
 
We do have current AP's but we just activated them on 12/18/04. I don't remember if they asked for our email address at that time. I couldn't find where on the Disney site to give my email.

I was wondering about the emails too. We too have had activated AP's since June. They always verify my email address when I call CRO, and I am registered on the website, but alas no emails for us. I am thankful for this site and Mousesavers emails to keep me clued in.:D

No emails here either! But DH gets them in his spam folder once in a while, but not always. Since he never checks his email, let alone the spam folder, I gave them my email address when we purchased new passes in December. The old ones were under DH's name. We didn't renew our old ones for 6 months so when we got brand new ones I specifically gave the CM my email address. I watched her put it in the system. But sure enough I found the last email they sent in DH's spam!

BTW, neither of us has EVER gotten an email code or a postcard in the mail either. We have called CRO and verified all our info, checked every box on Disney.com and still get nothing.
 
I don't think any one has truly figured out the secret to getting emails with codes or postcards mailed to your home address. You can not "request" that they email you codes. Many have tried! There are people who have called CRO and been delighted to learn that there was a "code" in their profile, even though they had never received a notice. My suggestion, when you call Disney, ask them to check your personal profile for available codes. There might just be one in there for you!

The AP code is not for specific people, all AP holders are eligible.

When I bought my AP earlier this month, the cm asked for my e-mail address. I gave it to him and I received the AP rate e-mail yesterday.
 
I think the confusion here is why did some AP holders get an e-mail announcing the new AP code and other AP holders did not. Luckily we all read the board and found out here. But, why not a direct e-mail from Disney? I have an active AP and a registered e-mail but did not receive anything about the new code. I periodically get "newsy" type e-mails from Disney so I know they have my e-mail. MMMM - its a mystery!
 
The last round of AP's, I didn't get the email until late in the day they were released. It was funny because the email said since I was an AP holder, I could take advantage of the discounts a day early. Thank God for the DIS and Mousesavers! I had a room booked before I even received the email :D
 
I would definatly check out your spam folders. That's where my emails from Disney concerning my APs go. I do get other email from Disney but the AP stuff goes right into the spam folder. Wonder why.
