I have mentioned on here before that like many recent grads, Aaron has had a heck of a time finding a full time job. He is a social studies teacher with an amazing passion for what he does- but he does not coach. I know at Truman we turned out a ton of social studies teachers. There are more in the market right now than there are jobs- by a lot. He has been subbing almost full time. The teachers in the district love him and when they go to request him he will already have another job lined up.
Anyway, he's been subbing a lot for sped and recently took his sped Praxis to get certified because they were telling him what a great job he does. (And thankfully my war stories haven't scared him off!) A para job recently opened up at the high school where he has been subbing and he has been asked to interview. It's not entirely what he wants, but it will be a full time job for the rest of this school year and will hopefully mean his foot in the door for next year. He has been trying so hard to find a job and has been very frustrated with the job market for social studies teachers. If you have a moment, please pray or keep positive thoughts.
