If you had to work while at WDW...

I may spend two days of my vacation working remotely. I thought staying at AKL in a savannah view room would be a good option. When not busy, watch the wildlife! Other than that choice, where else (resorts/restaurants) could I sit and work with wifi that would provide me an interesting environment? It may have to be somewhat quiet if I were to get a call but it's not a requirement.

My vote would be AKL savannah room or Poly MK view... but I think the Poly has the edge..

When I stayed at AKL it was great to sit out on my balcony and have breakfast and watch the animals out on the savannah...not sure how active they would be during the day/afternoon though...at least with an MK view at the Poly the Castle will be there all day

..plus the added sound of the waves on the poly beach, the train from MK, and the sound of the boat coming into the dock in the background ...now that to me is Disney ...might be slightly distracting though if your trying to work

AKL would also be my pick, but I also would consider any of the Boardwalk area resorts. I always find that the lobby areas of those resorts are never too crowded, and there are lots of hidden areas around the resorts. It would be so nice to be able to grab something to eat if you need it and actually step outside into the fun atmosphere of the Boardwalk. Plus that way there are plenty of places to go once you're done working!

The WL lobby has some nice spots, and on some floors have some hidden nooks. Some that face the lake.Just above the lobby there's a balcony with rockers facing the lake.

AKL will a great choice! When you need a break from work just take a walk around the resort, everything is so beautiful. Try relaxing in the lobby, it's very comfortable and there's so much to look at.

Just as a precaution, if there's online work you will need to do, I would have a backup option beyond Disney's free WiFi. The reports on the WiFi have been pretty hit or miss, so if there are things that need to be done online, have your own MiFi or smartphone hot zone to use.

DH had to do a bit of work on our last trip to BW. He was able to pop over to WS to have lunch with us.

AKL would be great for work, too. It's such a peaceful place...

I have a couple of small businesses, so I often have to spend time working when we travel. My personal experience is that I hate having a Magic Kingdom view if I am working. It isn’t too bad if it is just for an hour or so, but seeing the Magic Kingdom just reminds me that I am working while everyone else is out having fun.

My personal favorites are Animal Kingdom Savannah view, Polynesian Garden View, and Yacht Club Lagoon View. Those seem to keep me somewhat entertained without rubbing in my face that I am working. Not to mention that it is cool to pretend I have an office in Africa or Hawaii.

I've had to do this quite a few times. I'd agree that Animal Kingdom Lodge is good for a pleasant work environment but so is the Boardwalk and even the Wilderness Lodge.

Are you sure the view is not going to distract you while you're working? I can't think of anything that will entertain you right from your room, but the animals right outside your room.. I say.. AKL is a great choice.

I do need WIFI access for my work. I can check emails via iphone but most of my work in online.

I like the idea of popping over to Epcot for lunch! That's an idea that I didn't think of before. I have enjoyed sitting at the Polynesian outside of Capt. Cook's for an early breakfast and enjoyed the peace and quiet. That's another option.
