I'm in a bit of a 'devil or the deep blue sea' situation! Up until now we have always travelled in Oct, Nov or Dec.........but now my son is at school we have to travel in the longer summer hols.
So, weighing up the weather, crowds etc which would you choose, July or Easter?

I've done both & prefer July. Easter was much more crowded. July was hot & crowded, but much more managable. :)

Easter! Done it twice now. Great weather and fun atmostphere.

I've done both and would choose July if I had to pick. The parks are jam packed at Easter. It seemed a little less crowded in July. If you detest heat, go with Easter. The weather is much nicer. We just happen to love spending afternoons at the pool :)

July, only because I was there last Easter!! Crowds were pretty hard to manuever around.

i would do july and just avoid the july 4th weekend. after that courd start to die down week by week. and with a summer vacation you can schedual you vaction to better suit your need since your sone will be off for an extended period of time.

I voted Easter because of the weather. The humidity is unbearable in July (we've been the last two years--never again!). You are in the tropics, after all. The crowds were manageable the week before Easter, and there are still lots of crowds in July. I imagine this July the crowds will be worse than usual. It seems like Disney's new ad campaign and packages are bringing the crowds in even during regular season. Plus you have the July 4th vacationers. Also next year Easter is mid-April. Many, many schools in the US have spring breaks in late March, so this year Easter was probably worse than usual. I really liked the fact that for the two busiest Spring Break weeks MK was open at 7 a.m. for on-site guests every day. We got a lot done during that time. The evening EMH helped too. Definitely stay on site.

I wouldn't willingly go during either time, but if I HAD to pick one or not go at all, I'd have to say Easter. One sure way to make me miserable on vacation is heat and humidity, so I'd pick Easter soley for the weather factor.

I personally would pick Easter because I would hate the heat in July.

This will be my 3rd trip in July this summer and although it is VERY hot and quite crowded, I don't think I'd give Easter a try....I like to know what to expect, and with the experience I have.....I KNOW what to expect.

I have never heard of a park closing because it has reached its capacity at the times we went....Maybe this happens around the 4th of July though, but I always travel more towards the end of July so I wouldn't know.

I love it in July!!!!

EASTER.

Weather is MUCH more manageable. Weather in Orlando in July is unbearably hot. IMO, you get more done at Eastertime because you don't need the "it's so hot i'm going to die" afternoon break like you do in July.

EASTER! Crowds are the same as in July and the weather is MUCH nicer. In July you MELT and are miserable in the heat.

I'd say Easter because I can't stand the July heat. I went once in July and I passed out at MGM. It's the only time I've ever passed out in my life, I was shocked!

I voted for Easter because after months of nasty cold, snow, bleakness here in the North east, it is so nice to go to Florida for some nice warmth and sun. Our school break is not always at Easter, but even when it is, it is so nice to be there. July we get to go to our own beaches and don't need to get away :cool1:

I voted for July as I know people that have been at Easter and it's been way too crowded. We go in August, the end of August and yes, it's hot and humid but crowds are more manageable.

I've done both in the past 9 months and I have to admit the heat of July was worse to me then the heavy crowds of Easter....Easter was much more crowded but if you are a repeat vistor..just plan around stuff....but the July heat was unbearable...
