Night time/fireworks show, which one would it be?
My kids (age 4 and 18m) tend to conk out pretty early (8pm- ish) so we were trying to decide which show to keep them out and up for. Any suggestions would be appreicated! Last trip we didn't make any of them, this one we're shooting for just one. ;)

I think they are all spectacular but if I picked just one for the kids it would be Wishes out in front of the castle.

Another vote for Wishes :flower:
Fantasmic may be too scary for the 4 year old (darkness, fire, villians, snake)
and it may not hold the 18 month old's interest. I love Illuminations but it isn't my kids' favorite. We have the Wishes CD and the girls love to listen to it over and over and over....

Yet another vote for Wishes. My second choice would go to Illuminations but kids tend to enjoy Wishes more. I have heard and experienced upset kids that couldn't see all of Illuminations (since a lot of it takes place on the water) and some even have gotten bored. Kids love the fireworks in the sky for Wishes and being in the park is so magical. I wouldn't even worry about Fantasmic. Although it is an amazing show, I don't think that the wait for it is worth it with two kids that young. But that is only MY opinion!! We have a 2yo who wouldn't sit still for the wait or the show. :cool1: What ever you decide, I know you will have a magical time!!!

fantasmic...it is worth the wait...and generally kids arent anymore scared of that show than they are of loud fireworks...although you will read about it more often...

I was thinking Wishes too, Fantasmic might be a bit scary (from what I've read and heard). Thanks again for helping me decide!

Fantasmic! :cheer2:

I love Illuminations, too. I haven't seen Wishes. Well, I saw it from rides, but not to stop and watch.

Wishes!! Make sure to watch from inside the Magic Kingdom to get the full effect.

Wishes is a no brainer. Wishes epitomizes everything that we fanatics love about Disney. The other fireworks shows are great, but Wishes is pure magic.

Well the obvious choice is to scope out a good seat for SpectroMagic (like on Main Street, near the end) then turn around and wait for Wishes! But if you could only see one, either Spectro or Wishes ... I'd go with Wishes. The little guys on top of the spinny balls scared the heck out of me when I first went to WDW, and I was 5 years old! Come to think of it ... They still kinda creep me out :)

Wishes, and definitely from inside the park. Saw it from O'Hana and from Cal Grill, but NOTHING compared to seeing it from in front of the castle!
