If you had to eliminate one of these

I haven't been to all the choices, but IMO if you can get CRT i'd skip Park Fare. The food was nothing to write home about, what made it magical was Cinderella and Prince Charming... if you can eat in the castle, it's unnecessary to do both

I'd cut Coral Reef - the food has never lived up to the atmosphere in my humble opinion :)

HDDR - it's long and tedious and takes up a lot of time between traveling there and back and the 2 hr show.

I completely agree here. I would also get rid of LTT because of the incredibly bland food.

But I would keep MM. We have had nothing but great experiences here and make a point of going each trip.

Which one would you eliminate?

HDDR
Mama Melrose w/Fantasmic

California Grill
LTT night of MVMCP

Afternoon Tea -Garden View Lounge
Jiko
Coral Reef
Maya Grill (we're staying @ CSR)
Le Cellier

CRT (going to try and get this for Christmas morning)
1900 Park Fare (trying to get this for dinner on Christmas)

That is a tough call. I would definitely get rid of Coral Reef first (it was overcrowded when we were there last Sept.) not such a great menu, food okay.

We ate at 1900 it was okay, I would CRT first and if not 1900. We loved the character interaction at LTT and the food was hot and just a traditional Thanksgiving meal. My DS's ate well and we were okay with it, so we booked it again.

MM, was okay, I would definitely do it just to get into Fantasmic as it will be really crowded that time of the year. If not MM then try H&V buffet. I hear it is pretty good and you can be selective. If you want to spend more then go for HBD.

:thumbsup2

Mama Melrose, Maya Grill, or one of the Christmas day meals.

Please do not touch HDDR, Cali Grill or Jiko, all are wonderful!!!!

First - I would definatly KEEP the afternoon tea and both of the Cindy meals - that sounds like a very magical Christmas. I would skip either Maya Grill or Mama Melrose. The moderate resort table service restaurant just don't seem special too me and Mama Melrose was not good when we went. Why do you need to downsize one ADR?

Coral Reef. One of the worst meals I ever had in my life. Limited menu, bad food, over priced.

If you have any doubts find the Dis Unplugged podcast review of this place.

I've eaten at Mama Melrose, CRT (lunch) and Le Cellier.

I would probably drop MM. I do prefer MM over H&V for the Fantasmic package. I've done both. The food was not spectacular at either one but the seating was less frantic and less crowded at MM. The fantasmic package is so worth the so-so food! I haven't tried HBD, but I'm thinking that would be a better choice.

I loved Le Cellier. I probably wouldn't do CRT again but as a one-time visit it was great.

If you don't get CRT for breakfast on Christmas morning try for Crystal Palace. It is beautiful in the morning!

If I keep all the choices we have we'll have an ADR for every single day except day we leave (we have none planned for that day) and 2 ADR's on Christmas. DH said just 1 day w/out having one and just doing CS would be fine and nice not to have to be anywhere at specific time. But even if we cut out 1900 Park fare on Christmas we'll still have CRT (if we're lucky enough to even get either of those) and the Coral Reef I thought would be fun for the kids to see, we've never been there. Been to Mama Melrose and it was just okay but since we're planning on seeing Fantasmic thought the pkg would be good idea and have heard a lot of bad reviews for H&V here and don't want to use 2 TS credits or pay that much oop for HBD.
Next week we can make all ADR's and just trying to get it together.
All this ADR planning is exhausting:laughing:

Definitely keep the garden view lounge tea - it's quite special (those who say it isn't, have you done it?)

Make all the ADRs when you can to be sure you have them. Then take your time deciding which one you don't want. It's better to get them all now though, than to not get one and wish you had later.

Maybe the Maya Grill might be the right choice then. Cancel that one and then if you happen to at your resort at dinner time go and try to "walk-up". If walk ups aren't available you could always go to the Pepper Market.

I would say either the tea or Mama Melrose.
