Citricos or Narcoosees and why for Two baby boomers who haven't been to Disney in 18 years. Planning this trip without kids is totally different. We are only staying for 4 days so I'm hoping that i will make the right choices.

Citricos, hands down! The California Grill at the Contemporary gets all the acclaim and attention (and by all means stop by for a drink or even dinner if it's in your budget), but Citricos offers the best dinner and service in WDW.

My parents also dined there on their anniversary in January. They were treated like royalty.

The menu changes often, but if you see the braised rack of lamb go ahed and order it. Below you'll find a link to the latest posted menu:

Have never tried Narcooses, but that's because we like Citricos so much. It is a lovely restaurant and one fo the finest dining experiences at WDW.

We ate at Narcoosee's on the first night of our honeymoon in 2000 and we were NOT that impressed. We haven't tried Citricos yet, but I think we will in October. I would go with Citricos simply because of our not-so-impressive experience at Narcoosee's. Plus I've read lots of great things about Citricos. We also ate at the California Grill during our honeymoon. It was good, but the view was better than the food - IMHO. Our restaurant favorites include Marrakesh in Morrocco, Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

My DH and I are not "foodies" so we tend to prefer the less fancy places at WDW.

We've eaten at both. Citricos a few times and Narcoossee's many, many times but that's because it's been open for so long. We used to really enjoy lunch there.

Anyway, I would check the menus....very different. Both have excellent food and usually excellent service in our experience. Citricos is more subdued. If you like both menus, I'd probably pick Citricos for an adult only trip.

But can you fit them both in?

We've eaten at both and by far we enjoyed out meal at Citrico's the most. Excellent food, service and the wine pairings package was wonderful.

I have eaten at both and enjoyed both restaurants. Citricos has more of a "fine dining" feel. Narcoosees is a bit louder, but the food is great and you can see the fireworks.

Without kids, I would choose Citricos!

narcoose's is my all time fave resturant in the world. it has classy environment but its laid back at the same time. i find the food and service to be excellent. i recommend doin the knot where u get all the food options for a reasonable price. the highlite of course is seeing the castle from the lagoon. if u are a disney fanatic this is purely magical!

I was on the fence about this a while back, but have finally chosen Citrico's. Why? Well, looking at the pictures of both restaurants, Citrico's just looks so beautiful! Both places seem to have their fans, so I went more for atmosphere, as we will be celebrating DH's birthday. We will have the kids with us, but they are older and have wonderful restaurant behavior.

BTW - I am also a nice blue eyed woman from MA!!! Enjoy your vacation!

It was reported here on the DIS a while back that the Narcoossee's Knot special is no longer available. Too bad, since it was an excellent value.
