If you had only one day, what would you do?

I am going to be in the Orlando area in September for only a 3 night, four day trip. For the first time in over a decade I'm not staying in a DVC resort, as I was invited to join some friends from work in one of their timeshare's off property. They want to go to Seaworld, Orlando & Disney (all in three days!). I'm up for any of it, so I'm just saying ok and tagging along. However, I'd like to know what you would do if you had only one day in Disney, and are with a friend who's never been there?

Any suggestions or ideas would be great!
TIA!

I agree with Bill. For someone who has never been to Disney, the Magic Kingdom embodies everything that is wonderful and magical about Disney. And, I'm sure that watching your friend experience that for the first time is going to be quite the experience in itself. Have fun planning! :goodvibes

I agree that going to MK is a must if you only have one day, although it depends on your interest. It looks like you may be there during the time of the Epcot Food and Wine festival. My husband LOVES that he can get a different beer and snack from "all around the world". Whatever you choose, you can't go wrong. Every park has incredible things to see. Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios is awesome but doesn't have a showing every night. You might also want to check on the park that will stay open the longest that day.

I'd say Epcot with all adults. MK is my least favorite park. When I have taken adults who have never been to WDW before, they always say Epcot was their favorite, so that's where I would go with the group.

Agree with Bill--MK!!! It is where it all started and while Spaceship Earth is impressive, there is nothing like that view of the castle as you first hit Main Street!!!

I would get a park hopper and go to MK the first part of the day then to Epcot WS for dinner and Illuminations!

I think it completely depends on their/your interests. Love rides? MK. Love animals? AK. Love eating/shopping? Epcot. Love shows/thrill rides? Studios. My personal choice: get a park hopper and go to MK and AK.

Get a park hopper and get in 2 parks!

How to decide which 2?
First, if they have done DL, I would think they can pass on MK.

Second, if they have young children don't waste time at Epcot.

That leaves Animal and Hollywood.

So, if they have never done DL and have young kids, go to MK hit some of the classic rides and either Animal or Hollywood, whichever appeals to their tastes.

If they have never done DL and have older or no kids, I still think the classics at MK are worth the time: Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain RR. Then AK: Expedition Everest, Dinasaur, Safari, or Hollywood: Tower of Terror, Rockin RR, Toy Story (go here first to get FP or the wait will be too long).

For me, it would have to be AK. FOTLK, Nemo, Safari, and hopefully we see DeVine.:goodvibes Any other attractions, rides would just be a bonus!

If it was me, that would be my choice as well, but with a group, we have found while AK is our favorite, it is not necessarily the favorite of others.
