My Disney Planners:love:

I am asking for your wisdom please. :goodvibes My husband and I are going the 31st of March -April 3 to celebrate our 40th birthday's and our 15th wedding anniversary. The though is we should go all out, get the Deluxe Dinning and eat our way around Disney and ride ride together for a change (to smaller ones will be at home with grandma). :thumbsup2
SO....
if you could eat anywhere for three and a half days and money was not really an object where would you eat and why please (no Victoria and Albert please that is a bit out of our range :sad2:).
I know it is short notice but shhhhh, there are many reservations left, I even found a Le Cellier on late Thursday night.

California Grill
Citricos
Flying Fish
Jiko
a World Showcase Restaurant

Chef Mickey's & CRT for breakfast - I know! I know! But they are both must-do's for me! :goodvibes

And maybe Kona Cafe for breakfast as well.

If I were in your shoes these are the top three I would look to get ads at resorts:

California Grill at the Contemporary
Citricos at the Grand Floridian
Artist's Point at the Wilderness Lodge

In the parks I would check out:

Le Cellier at EPCOT
Either restaurant in Italy at EPCOT
Yak and Yeti at the Animal Kingdom

and for Breakfast:

if you don't mind the characters O'hana's at the Polynesian is amazing!
For a really nice buffet with no characters the Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club is very good.
Cinderellas Royal Table- pricy but if you have ever wanted to dine in the castle this is great! All the meals are good but there are more characters typically in the morning.

Have an amazing trip!!

Happy Birthday ! We are doing the same thing in September for our 41th birthdays and 13 year anniversary. I plan on reserving California grill, Jikos, and yachtsman Steakhouse or HDDR I orginally had brown derby but cant decide. We are more steak and potatoes instead of seafood or I would of added Nacroosees or flying fish

Since that is 3 nights/days of credits:
I would do and when I have used the deluxe plan have done 2 credit dinners:
California Grill
Flying Fish
Brown Derby

& I would do 1 credit lunches:
-Le Cellier
-Tutto Italia
-Yak & Yeti (considering you wouldn't want another Epcot lunch)

If on your last day you don't have time for lunch, I would do Brown Derby for lunch one of the days & pick another 2 credit for dinner: Citricos

If you feel you need breakfast, use your snack credits for muffins, juice, or a bagel or something like that.

I NEEDED TO MAKE SOME CHANGES HELP AGAIN PLEASE
Thank you to everyone!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Tonnie- happy b-day and anniversary, hope you have a blast on your trip!!.:thumbsup2

SO far here is what it looks like

Thursday
Casey Jones -arrival lunch
this is a tradition (not sure why) we are not on our Disney vacation until we have hot dogs looking at the castle
California grill at 9:30
the fireworks are at 10:00 so I am pretty excited!:cool1:

I am going to suprise my husband with new tour at animal kingdom on Saturday so I think we will need to skip the OLD Friday Animal Kingdom am plan. I was thinking we could go to the studio in the am ride some rides in friday then Epoct for lunch and dinner

Would you go to an early tour 8 or 9 am (might see more animals) or go to the 2:00 and go to an early 5:30 Jinko??

DH and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary in October with two weeks at WDW with Deluxe Dining. We LOOOOVED  Jiko!! The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding! Our other favorites included California Grill, Le Cellier, and Brown Derby.

No matter what you pick, I'm sure you'll have a great time!! Happy birthday to you both, and Happy Anniversary! :goodvibes

Congrats....and have fun....I would suggest Jiko, Cali Grill, Artist Point, Yachtsmans Steakhouse, 1900 Park Fare, and CP!

Thank you to everyone!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Tonnie- happy b-day and anniversary, hope you have a blast on your trip!!.:thumbsup2

Friday
Tusker house 8:15
I know 2 grown adults at a charter breakfast but we love this one, it will get us up and starting the day and what is better then a Mickey waffle with Mickey:earboy2: - I did this last year with just my mom and I. It was a great time even as 2 adults. I'm planning on doing it again this year as well :)

Lunch MAYBE
Yack and Yeti

Dinner
Somewhere in Epcot either Italy or Mexico (never eaten at either place both have lots of reservations open still) but we are open to recommendations

Saturday
Still open so keep the suggestions coming We are thinking about starting with the studios (to ride toy story and tower of terror together) and then maybe a special animal kingdom tour.

Thanks and keep the suggestions coming PLEASE:worship::)
For AK lunch, I'm trying out Tusker this year (yup, going there twice, but two wholly different experiences), but I really don't have any suggestions otherwise.

Both places in Mexico as well as Italy are quite good (though I haven't eaten at Tutto since it was Alfredo's (or maybe before that?) and I was about 12 heh. If there's an opening at Hacienda around 8-8:30, go for it (assuming 9pm Illuminations showing, if it's later and you can hold off, adjust accordingly).

As far as my suggestions, disregarding what you have planned already :p...
#1 - Jiko. Loved this place last year. Great atmosphere, great food. Service was a little slow, but my server was in training and she just wasn't used to the pace after more than 4-5 tables (can't hold it against her, I'm sure I'd get frazzled after more than 1 :p). Other servers seemed quite good though. I was also able to pick out a salad along with a standard App + Entree + Dessert. Not sure if that's standard or not though.

#2 - Citrico's. Another great place last year. Service was wonderful the the Warm Chocolate Banana Torte was delicious.

#3 - Artist Point. While I'm not returning this year, it's not due to the food. Just don't have room for it in my schedule ><.

For 1 credits...
#1 - San Angel Inn. I know this gets panned a lot around these parts, but the lunch I had was very tasty, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere can't be beat. Contending for this spot would be Hacienda (and it would succeed it if timed for Illuminations). I did go there only a few days after it opened, so they were still very much getting the hang of things (timing especially), but the food was quite good.

#2 - Via Napoli (if interested in the Pizza... can't vouch for other dishes). Our server was exceptionally horrible last year, but it surely wasn't the case with the restaurant (the other servers were great, even to us when we weren't their table). The food was very good as well.

I would definitly say California Grill or Yachtsman steakhouse, we went to California Grill last fall and it was amazing.

Dh and I just got back from doing the same thing...with kiddies at Grandma's. We *loved* Citrico's and we did Hoop-dee-doo review. All the other goodies have been mentioned. :)

You've gotten some great suggestions already, but I would also add The Wave (Contemporary). I've eaten there every year for the past few years and meals are always very good!

For signature meals:
#1 - Flying Fish: this is our number 1 place to eat and is a MUST DO for us every trip. Food and experience is awesome!
#2 - Artist Point: Love the unique food choices and they are all very good.
#3 - Citricos: Again, very good food!
#4 - Cali Grill: Can't beat the view!
#5 - Yachtsman: Very good Steak!

Enjoy!

We are doing the same thing in 2 Weeks! We are hitting 40 and it is our 17 wedding anniversary! The kids will be staying with Nana and Papa. So WDW here we come! We are on the Deluxe Dining PLan as well! Oh what fun! :cool1:

Deluxe Dining and NO kids mean three things for me:

1. Jiko
2. Flying Fish
3. Yachtsman

I've never been to any, but sure want to try them all. Maybe when my girls are bigger. For now, we're Crystal Palace and CRT diners. :lovestruc

Congratulaitons! We hope to make it this year for our 5th anniversary. Here's how we use the DxDP: big breakfast; skip lunch; snack credits during the day and signature meals for dinner. For dinner, we love, in no particular order:

Citricos
Flying Fish
Yachtsman
The Wave (although not a signature)

Hope you have a great time!
