Los Angeles, what would you do while you were there?

What places would you visit? What to do and see? How far is Disneyland from the LAX?

Thinking of the last week in November or the first week in December.

Thanks!

Disneyland, Disneyland, some more Disneyland... a little DCA now and again. Maybe one day over to Knott's Berry Farm to relive some old memories. Then some more Disneyland. ;)

Disneyland, of course. Universal Studios. The Getty Museum (this is wonderful but you have to make a reservation in advance for parking). Go see a tv show filming (I saw Friends once--that was a LOT of fun). San Diego is beautiful--the zoo and Sea World.
Santa Monica and the Pier. Venice--my sister used to live here and it's a great place to just wander around.

Disneyland is great at that time with all the Christmas decorations. It's worth it just to see Small World with all the beautiful lights on the outside.

Have fun!

Depends...is DD with us ? If so, then probably a whole lot of Disneyland with a bit of San Diego Zoo and Sea World thrown in. If she was at home, though...DW and I have talked for years of taking a "coaster" trip down the left coast...Hitting Knott's, Magic Mountain...pretty much all the "thrill" parks out West.

35-40 miles, depending on route, MS says 38.

I would for sure hit DL, DCA and Universal, a day for sure in San Diego.

The last time I was in CA was in 1983 when my oldest sis lived out there. They lived in Culver City. My oldest sis and her DH took me to:

Magic Mountain
Disneyland
The Tar Pits
Knotts Berry Farm
Drove around Beverly Hills
Universal Studios
Venice Beach

I think that's about it . . .

Have fun.

We would be taking our 3 boys, 8, 6 and 4 with us. It's a toss up between LA and WDW. I'd like to do something different for a change!

I was just there in May, but if I went back again I would definitely try to get tickets to the taping of the Ellen Degeneres show. She's my idol!!! lol
