Hi all we will have one day to spend in the Orlando area from 9am till approx 6pm before our flight we would have already done WDW and Universal what would you do with kids in tow?

I know you will have been at Disney, but I usually hang out at Disney Springs for my departure day. If you're more in the Universal Area, there's a Dave & Busters nearby. I've killed some time there too. Maybe go check out the Disney outlet stores if you're not too laden with merch already.

I would hit up the mini golf courses at Disney and then maybe going to Disney Springs for a little shopping, or a movie and food. Or go to Splitsville instead of golf.

For a more low-key day (depending on your kids' ages), I would go to the Orlando Science Center or WonderWorks on I-drive. Both are nicely air conditioned. The Pirate Mini Golf on I-drive and an escape room are fun, too (I don't recommend the Universal escape rooms).

Whatever you decide, know that things take a lot longer than you plan on. For that reason, I'd keep it simple and, preferably, close to where you need to be.

I always think along the lines of, my flight lands at 9, I can get the car and be at the resort by 11. But then there's the lunch stop. And the Target run. And then the room's not ready. And then it's a lousy room, and I want to see if I can change. And.., well, you get the idea. Same goes for planning things after check-out and before the flight back.

If you want to stay around Orlando, you can do mini-golf, Splitsville bowling, Topgolf, Funspot Kissimmee/Orlando, or Icon Park. But if you have a car, I recommend the Kennedy Space Center.
