If you had 2 weeks in the world, where would you stay?

8nights VWL, 6nights BCV -
DS13 & I leave for our first mother/son two week WDW vacation Aug 13th! :Pinkbounc

With my infant and toddler: 3 days CR (just to try it) then 11 days at the Poly

When my kids are out of strollers and swim well: one week at the poly, one week at the Beach club

Without my kids: one week at the beach club, one week at the AKL

This is an easy decision for me. It would be 1 week at a one bedroom Villa at Wilderness Lodge, then one week at a one bedroom Villa at The Boardwalk.
It doesn't really matter which place I stay at first.

We are planning for Sept 2007 and are hoping to do two weeks. One week land (still don't know where to stay) and a week on the DCL.

That makes one week of running and one of relaxing. Any suggestions on where to stay.

I would stay the first week in the CR tower (lite concierge) and the second week in a 2 bedroom villa at WL. And it would be in December! :cheer2:

5 nights in a 2 bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs
5 nights in a 2 bedroom villa at Boardwalk and
4 nights at the Grand Floridian concierge!!!

2 nights Poly Concierge Lagoon view.
The rest in a Boardwalk villa.

1 week at Contemporary (it just says "Disney" to me)
1 week at Boardwalk (love the atmosphere there)

12 days OKW 1BR, 2 nights at a deluxe concierge level.

Hm, I think I'd like to explore the castles of Europe, then see the Great Wall of China!!! Barring those... an Alaska cruise or a cruise of the Greek Islands! ... Oh..., at Disney World...?!? ;) ;) ;)

IF I was going with just my DH and IF we only wanted a hotel room w/room service, we might start with 3 nights at the Portofino Bay Hotel and get FOTL privileges at Universal. Then we'd switch to the Wilderness Lodge for a few nights followed by a longer stay at the Yacht Club. All of these places have a very pleasing ambiance for a romantic trip. We'd visit others during the trip, but we've wanted to stay at these and we haven't yet. If the YC wasn't available, we'd settle for a 1BR at BCV or BWV with a private jacuzzi for that second week. ;)

IF we were going to have others along and could tolerate a single hotel room with them for 2 weeks :earseek:, we'd change these to the Royal Pacific/Universal, then the Polynesian, then the Beach Club. Something about them just appeals to me more, where older kids are involved (we have 3 teens). But if at all possible with kids, we'd get two rooms or a 1BR or larger so we'd have privacy and some romance on a 2 week trip! :teeth: If this wasn't possible onsite due to finances, we'd get an offsite 2BR for the first week at a really nice resort, followed by two rooms or a 1BR+ onsite for the 2nd week.

Whatever you do, I'm sure you'll love a 2 week trip to Disney! :)

Although I haven't been to WDW yet, just from what I've researched so far and knowing my taste I'd choose 1 week at POFQ and the other week at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Both sound like places I'd enjoy. We're planning to stay at POFQ next May! :earsgirl:

Will be there 2 weeks this Oct. / Nov.
Start out 10/22 - 10/29 @ ASMU
Move to 10/29 - 11/3 @ SOG
Move to 11/3 - 11/5 @ POFQ
All let you know how luggage transfers go.

We love DVC - so I would spend it all at OKW or BWV. The only non-DVC that I would stay at is AKL.

1 Week at Beach Club..Awesome Pool..Awesome Location..boat launch to MGM and its just a walk away to EPCOT

then 1 week at Polynesian..Monorail Resort, its awesome..and such a great location..nice atmosphere..relaxing

4 Days at GF- lagoon view :Pinkbounc
3 Days at Contemporary- MK view- i love it at night when the castle's turning colors
then the last week at AKL -savannah view- i love to sit on the balcony and watch the animals--soooo relaxing :thewave:

We go for 2 weeks on our trips and stay in the Beach Club Villas. I love the resort and probably wouldn't stay anywhere else (except perhaps a few nights GF concierge if I felt like a change.)
