If you got a BOG dinner after your 180 ADR date

I've been trying for a BOG dinner since my 180+ and haven't had any luck yet. I'm going during free dining (although I'm not on free dining) so that isn't helping. But I'm wondering, for those of you who were able to snag a BOG reservation when one wasn't available at 180, how close to your trip did you manage to grab it? I'm going in November, so I still have a lot of time. I'm thinking I'll have better luck as we get closer to our date, maybe at 60 days when people cancel ADRs because of FP+ or at 45 days when people have to pay in full for their stay. Just curious as to what others experiences have been getting a coveted BOG dinner reservation.

Curious. Looking for November as well. Although I'd take lunch or dinner, I just want to go inside.

I've never gotten one at my 180 days. I also rarely try for anything at 180 unless it's super special or important. Both the dinner BOG's I've gotten have been 2-3 months out. One by sheer dumb luck of going on the dining site one afternoon. The other I generally jumped on each morning just to see if there was anything and Disney happened to load a bunch of them in. That was about 85 days out. None have had any correlation whatsoever to 45, 60, 90 day time frames.

My experience was similar to the PP. I actually had a choice of what day I wanted and what time I wanted, as Disney had loaded a whole pile of different reservation options - both lunch and dinner. This was around mid-May and we are travelling at the end of August. When my plans changed again, I recently randomly checked the reservations site (I have actually been trying harder to get a Via Napoli reservation for 4 - BOG was easy for me), and I was able to get a 5:10pm on the day I wanted. The best advice I can offer (and I am not an expert), would be just to keep on checking! Either Disney will load some on, or someone will cancel closer to the date. If you actually check multiple times per day (or at least once a day) I guarantee you will find something eventually! Persistence pays off.

I've also never gotten BOG at 180. I've managed to get a couple because the rose gallery was suddenly opened, flooding the system with BOG ADRs. I got one from the cancellation boards, and another about a month or so out, just by stalking.

ETA: these were all for different trips

We booked a July trip in February and didn't get our adr for BOG until May.

I tried at 180 and was unsuccessful and was told by a CM over the phone the whole ten days was booked out. I then made a reservation at CRT instead. Went back online 4 days later and BOG was a available, 7pm table for 4. Made the reservation and cancelled CRT. I think if you check back regularly, you will get what you want as they release more tables :) BTW it was the most amazing dining experience ever and well worth the nerves and stress sorting it

I got on at my 180 and was only able to get a dinner for the 8th night of my trip. I should tell you I am going the end of Sept into Oct., so we have 3 MNSSHP nights during our trip and it's free dining. What I had wanted was dinner on one of the party nights we were going to, so I just kept checking daily at random times. In fairness I checked online 3-4 times a day at random times, occasionally called the reservation line, and signed up for the cancel threads on here. A little over a week ago I randomly checked online around 530 pm and scored dinner for one of the party nights. In case you haven't looked BOG is only open 4-6 for dinner those nights so I never thought I would get it. I think if your just keep trying you will find something, but just be flexible. I would have preferred 430, but I got a 530 which I'm thrilled to have. Good luck!

I got one for August a few weeks ago. I just randomly checked the site, which I do every so often, and it was there, so I snagged it. I would just keep looking if I were you.

I'm in the same boat. We are traveling in November and couldn't get BOG, CRT or Tusker House breakfast at 180 for any of our stay. Hoping to get an ADR between now and then. I check constantly and haven't seen a thing. Good luck!

I found BOG about 4-6 weeks before our trip, they just happened to open up a mess of them one night around 2 a.m. There weren't any available at 180 days for us either, I had to stalk the ADR page!

I got one at 180 for our original trip dates in late July, but then when we had to rebook for earlier in July, I wasn't able to get another one for a few weeks. Then I found an 8:20pm ADR, but kept holding out for an earlier time. Around early March I was able to book 7:20pm, and then suddenly in early May I noticed a slew of ADRs opened up, so I rebooked again for even earlier on our first night! I think checking 4-6 weeks out may be the key, as Rachael and whitney say. Good luck!

We snagged one last year in Feb when they extended park (and dining) hours. It was nearer to our departure date, don't recall exactly though.

I got fairly easily for presidents week last year. I didn't book at 180 days because I didn't fancy going them I changed my
Mind. I just looked periodically and eventually one day there were several reservations available. I used the app took 2 seconds to looks quickly and I just did it frequently. I don't bother at 180 days now book at about 3-4 months and always had most things

I called yesterday at my 180 day mark and was able to get a table for 7 on my chosen day. I would have preferred a little bit later, but I will eat at 4:35 :) I got a table for 4 about 30 days out on my April 2013 trip.

A nice thing about eating earlier is they are less likely to be backed up so you shouldn't have to wait very long. :)

I didn't get a reservation at 180 days either (January trip), but checked almost everyday. In mid December there were several times open on the day I wanted. So keep checking.

I scored a BOG reservation about 2 weeks before my December 2014 trip. You just need to check these forums constantly and subscribe to threads, as I only got my reservation because a block of tables appeared to open and someone posted it here and I snagged it on my phone.

Be vigilant and you increase your odds dramatically.

Also remember, your vacation won't be ruined if you don't get it. So stay positive :)
