Is it a difficult process to rebook airfare on SW if you see lower rates? I remember a DIS member posting about rebooking with two screens open. Thanks

No, it is very easy.

Open a new browser window and book the new flight/fare when you get to the payment screen go back to your first browser window and cancel the original flight. Go back to the new window and put in the original conf # in the use ticketless travel funds and you are done.

You will have the new fare and the funds left over can be used for another flight for up to a year from the original date.

You only have to go through the above procedure if you are changing to a DING! fare. If you are changing because of a lower "wannagetaway" fare, you just go to Travel Tools and click on Change Reservation.

Any idea on how far in advance you can buy SW tickets? I have been on the site for a trip in August and they say they are not posted yet. I know with other airlines its 331 days.

SWA only releases their schedule about 6 months ahead of time. This cuts down on flight cancellations and reschedules. Once the schedule is set, usually only mechanical or weather related issues will change your flight.

SWA will open up flights through November 5, 2010 on March 23rd.

And the poster that asked that question, if you goto southwest.com, along the top click on travel tools and it will tell you what the date is they are accepting ressies for, and then give the above info about when the next fares will open up :goodvibes
