We all know how bad the selection for scrapbook materials/embellishments are at the Disney parks. If you could Disney what kind of items that you would be willing to buy, what would they be??? For a start I would like:

Epcot- Stickers and character die cuts dressed in countries' costumes.

Parade/show background papers (FOLK, Nemo, Spectro, Jungle Parade etc..).

Cruise line- 8x11 color menus for Animators, Triton/Lumiere, and Parrot Cay.

UPDATE Question: Would you mind estimating what you spent on your disney scrapbook total and how much Disney lost out $$$ wise?

Decent die cuts or stickers themed. Rides, shows, characters you can find in the parks, resorts, restaurants. The stuff they have (or I've seen in the past) is pretty cheesy.

Also, how about cute embellies like rose brads for Beauty and Beast, or little carpet brads for Alladin. Things like that.

Embellies for the rides, definitely. And more stuff for the restaurants and the resorts. Nicer paper, I don't like the paper with the big images because they wind up getting covered with Pics.
More durable albums. I have 2 and I will probably never use the one I haven't used yet because they just don't seem sturdy enough. Oh and refills, they are really missing the boat on page refills.

Resort and restaurant items would top my list. I would LOVE Cricut cartridges with park stuff on them.

More stuff actually having to do with the parks and resorts and not just the characters. Someone created that Haunted Mansion doom-buggything and it was awsome!

I love using the ek success disney jolees. I think they should make some more specific to rides and parks. (The ball for epcot, the hat for mgm, something for animal kingdom, etc). I think they just need much more embellishments and some more subtle papers.

I love everyone's ideas!:cool1:

My complaint/wish? : really quality stickers, not ones that get spotty/greasy and ruin your pages.

Is there not ONE scrapbooker at WDW?:confused3

I agree with the ride embellishment comments. I'd love to see the Wonderful World of Memories (@ WDW) and WOD or someplace (@ DL) start a free for all type embellishment wall. Where you load up a dime bag (or tiny plastic bag) and are charged a price. They could offer stickers which little kids would love too. I have every pack, except the Pooh ones, from the parks. But there's a lot of extras in there I don't use - like the plain cardstock and some of the dining places. (EX: we will never go to Garden Grill again, but I have a bunch of the stickers still from the eatery pack) additionally, it would be nice to have some in the specific resort gift shop for that resort. For some reason, Old Key West is overlooked a lot and we stay there all the time (sister is original DVC members). I've never seen anything specific to that resort or the eateries (like Olivia's).

I would probably say I would like to have specific embellishments and paper for each resort.

I'd love Cricut Cartridges with park images, resort images, and the Disney font.

Less cartoony paper, maybe a cardstock pack with Disney colors.

Less "flat" stickers.

I would love to see....brads, eyelets of different characters, rides, logos. And ribbon with the Disney's best verses on there....

Great ideas!

I'd like to add some software to the mix. I have a fantastic Print Shop-like program with Mickey, Cinderella, Snow White, etc. clip art on it. But I guess I was the only one who bought it. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have clip art from the parks, resorts, cruiseline, restaurants available?

When i walked into the so-called scrapbook store at WDW I said to myself "wow they are sooooo out of touch in a market where they could make SOOOO much money in".
I mean seriously what are the buyers thinking?:confused3
Do they not have the money to have they're own buying division for scrapbooking. many of you know I own my own buisness and I'd say 95% of my sales have to do with somekind of Disney theme.
If they want comments or opinions look at this thread we are your board of advisors PEOPLE THAT ACTUALLY SCRAPBOOK AND USE THE PRODUCTS!!!.
Not a bunch of pencil pushing "oh I have an MBA so i know what public wants at the parks" NO you don't.
When i was in california in the Garment District I was told by one of the ladies at a mass distribution center for the princess dresses that one of the buyers from Disney was there. And low and behold she pointed HIM out to me.
Yes ladies because a middle-aged MAN is really in touch with what 3-12 year old little girls want in there Princess purchases.
I hope one day our voices are heard and if anyone from Disney is reading this hire people that know what the masses want. And get an advisory board.
Ahhhh that felt good Ok...I'm done:mic: (i'm getting off the soapbox now)

Love, love ALL your ideas! I still can't believe that Disney hasn't caught up with the scrapbooking bug on-site. That store in DTD is sorely lacking - my local ACM has more Disney things than them. It would be great to have some pre-made pages and page kits you could just pick up. And to have better idea books.

You shold send this list to the powers that be at Disney! :thumbsup2

Hopefully Disney can see past the "legal eagles not our idea so we cannot use it" canned response. We are virtually an untapped market. I would rather buy from disney than take chances with ebay. It would be great if they sold page protectors that fit their albums. Think of the money they could make if they created page kits that complimented the photopass pics. If they would size to 12x12 page maps and menus, we scrappers would be in heaven.

write letters, write letters, write letters. Send them suggestions!!!!

Have ya'll seen Shawshank Redemption??? Where the guy writes to congress and anyone who will listen to try and get books for the prison. Well he got them, then he wrote twice as many letters and they ended up with a library!

Remember it's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease.

Stay on your box Disney_Rider!!! So did you ask him what a middle aged man knows about 3-12 year old girls and fashion?? I know I would have, I seriously lack filters on that kind of stuff.

Of course considering WDW is hosting a crop in a room for 800 people in August, one would think they had a clue. :confused3

Buffy I LOVE that movie..lol.. I've watched it several times while scrappin. I really love all the ideas as well.

I'd like to see MORE STITCH STUFF!! I mean sheesh he is just as good as ole Mickey:rotfl: well in my book he is better but hey that's just me.

I would totally love a PIXAR cricut cart. More variety if Disney Jolee's pick up some of the popular movies. I mean c'mon when a new movie is released you all know how many "toy's, clothes etc" are thrown at us. It is time to add scrap booking into that mixture of marketing.

That is one of DH's favorite movies, it's just long.

I would love to see Stitch stuff!! Maybe some paper piecer's should send Jolee's some paper piecings.

as for carts I would love to see one for each of the parks and one for Disneyland.

I would like to see DIGITAL Disney scrapbooking kits. They would be sooooo cool.

Thanks Buffy no i didn't ask but i was also really wet behind the ears back then believe me i'm not shy by any means but yeah i think for such a "modern" company they are seriously out of touch. Some of the stuff i see for sale in the parks is just downright stupid and a waste.
It's like "ohhh look at the box it doesn't do anything but it's got mickey on it"!!!
But this is the stuff I want to see.

-A big paper pieced sticker of each of the castles and main landmarks of each park. Like the bigger jolee's they have out I want a friggin Epcot ball!!!

-Cricuts!!!! DL WDW and Pixar and they better put Crush in the Nemo one!!!

-All movie Embellishments there are other movies that do not posses a Princess in it. I'm a Mary Poppins fanatic I would love a Pequin or 2. I always wondered why they didn't have stich he's so popular.

-and my personal wish a crop room at WDW scrapbook store or even better a Disney sponsered scrapbook weekend!!!! I'd be the first in line to buy that ticket!!!
But I'll keep wishing:rolleyes:
