if we all had the same points allowing us to stay anywhere, where would be your favorite? why? we are a family of six.

We would definately stay at Old Key West our absolute favorite!!!!

Oh, I really should say why it's home, shouldn't I?

We love the feeling when we drive up to the porte corchere and leave the car for valet parking.

We love the lobby - it's so elegant.

We love the BoardWalk - it's peaceful during the day and fun and lively at night. A perfect end to a day.

The BoardWalk Bakery is to die for.

The pool slide is awesome and fast.

A BoardWalk view is one of the best in WDW.

We love walking home from Epcot after Illuminations.

The morning walks around the lake are refreshing and a great start to the day.

The boat horns in the morning remind me of Portland Harbor. I can almost smell the salty air. Only missing a foghorn!

The BoardWalk buskers are always entertaining and it's great to have them in the lobby during cold/rainy weather.

The standard view is as cheap as OKW!

ESPN is right there for the guys.

Jellyrolls is fun at night.

There's a kids club over at the Beach Club. Drop off the kids and go to out to eat in Epcot.

The Christmas decorations are Old World and charming. The poinsettia tree at the entrance is lovely and the large tree on the green is impressive.

They have a Halloween party on the green.

Oh, there's so much more. That's just some of them.

If points were no object, we would stay in an OKW GV every trip with 6, so everyone gets their own bed and there would be 4 bathrooms. As it is, we usually stay in an OKW 2 bedroom with 3-5, and occational GV when there are more. If it is just 2 of us, we stay in a 1 bedroom.

BWV is our very favorite because of location and the Boardwalk (reminds me of days in Asbury Park and Atlantic City when I was a kid ) but anywhere we could sleep indoors at WDW (sorry, out on the grass won't do it most times of the year). If I had to rank the rest, BCV next, then WLV, because of the easy park access. But we've had a wonderful time at SSR and OKW, too.

Are you looking for a real place to stay or are you just wondering where we all would stay if we could stay anywhere, points no option?

If it were points no option, I'd go for a GV at the BCV, but since they don't exist, I go for a GV at SSR (because they are new) or OKW (because I love the resort).

If you are really looking for information on where to stay, I'd say a 2 bedroom either at the BCV or BWV. They are in the best location and there is a lot to do as listed in previous posts.

OK what is Haname? i see it all the time but am really confused.

There's an explanation behind it....but its whatever you want it to be,,,for some its an special utopian DIS/DVC place or feeling...Kinda like the same feeling when staying at VWL.

Hanname is down the road from Shangri-La, not too far from Oz. Take the first star to your left at Neverland. Watch for signs to Fantasy Resorts.

We own at SSR, but my favorite is AKL-I wish they would put a DVC there! We are trying BCV in a month-I hope we like it! I will let you all know what we thought of BCV when we return!

And sit on the throne.

VWL at Christmas Time
BCV just so my kids could try out SAB
OKW because we love it there!
SSR looks really nice and we like the pool......
and we love the location of the BWV!
Oh heck! I'm with the 'Happy on the grass' person anyway!

It all depends on what time of year and what size unit ...

In the summer I love BCV. We spend more time at the pool and SAB is the place to do it!

Over Christmas, I would choose VWL. The decorations are so nice and the boat ride to/from the MK during those busy times can't be beat.

New Years Eve, Boardwalk all the way. We book either a standard view to save points or a Boardwalk view to make it extra-special. We're doing Epcot this year for NYE and walking to/from the park is heaven!

If we're going with a group of people, OKW is the spot for us. The laid back atmosphere and the least expensive Grand Villas make it an ideal location.

Isn't that where Figment lives?
If I had to pick a real place, I'd stay BWV. That's where we stayed for my honeymoon/my first trip to WDW.
I'd take a tent in Ft. Wilderness over a day at work any day, though!
