If you could only visit 2 parks, which 2 would you choose?

We are spending a week at the beach in June, and decided to stop at Disney for two nights and one park day on our way home. (We are driving.) We did the same last year, a week at the beach and stopped at Disney and did MK last summer. This year we are planning on Hollywood Studios for our park day. Now we are toying with the idea of doing a second park day because we are Disney addicts. ;) I can't decide what to choose for our second park, though! Obviously MK is the most classic Disney and that's what the kids want. I feel like I haven't spent as much time at AK and Epcot as MK and would like to spend more time exploring those parks, though. We aren't doing park hoppers, so one park a day is all we will be doing. Help me decide!! My kid's ages are in my siggie. TIA!

Well you have to go to MK...your kids are little! How could you not?

Hollywood Studios is undergoing a lot of changes at the moment. If it were just a 2 park visit for me, I might choose MK and something else (Epcot) because of that. Although my 2 favorite are usually MK and HS.

It's hard to say because so much depends on the kids themselves, more than just ages. Although Epcot is my favorite park, given the kids' ages, I think Magic Kingdom would be your best bet, especially if they are excited by traditional Disney iconography. Although my kids (now 10 and 12) have always loved Epcot, it really seems to offer the least for the young guys out of the three remaining parks. If they love animals, the Lion King, and/or Nemo, then AK might be the thing.

EPCOT: my DDs love Turtle Talk with Crush, seeing the animals in The Seas, riding Soarin, the fountains in Future World. Most of all, world showcase. The Kidcot stations are so fun and they can meet cultural ambassadors from around the world! They love the Japan store. Nintendo characters, Hello Kitty galore, lots of cool stuff to explore. The gardens Re gorgeous. A maze in UK, the koi pond in Japan, the Chinese gardens! And, the food! Highly recommend! Have a great time!

MK and Epcot. No way would I got to HS if I only had two days. I would wait until some of the Park gets redone.

Thanks for the replies! See, I've always thought Epcot was geared more towards older kids/adults. But I almost want to go there just because I know DD would love Akershus. DS1 is getting old enough that I think he would appreciate World Showcase. Other than that, is there a lot for my kids ages there? I don't want to go there just for Akershus.

We were planning on Hollywood Studios since we did MK last year, to mix it up. We always love the feel and atmosphere at Hollywood Studios, and the 2 littler ones are really into Disney Jr.

DS1 loves pirates, DD loves princesses, and the little guy loves Mickey.

For us, it would be MK and AK, assuming the construction walls at AK were gone. We normally plan two days at MK and AK each trip (1 day Epcot and 1/2 day DHS), but changing this year due to the construction.

MK & AK for us. EE is our favorite roller coster, FOTK is our favorite show, and we love the laid back feeling of the park. That being said, if I only had two days, I might spend both at MK :-)

Since you're already doing DHS, I'd recommend either MK or Epcot as your second park. With the ages of your kids, MK has the most to offer though. Have fun! :goodvibes

This was a question in 2013, and we chose Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

I can't see your signature on my phone but seems the kids are young. I just did 2 days with a 4.5 and 7 year old. They both loved Epcot. Tons of stuff for them...we did Akershus breakfast then Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Figment, Soarin', Living w/the Land, had lunch, Nemo, Turtle Talk, looked around the aquarium, met Chip & Dale, played in Innovations, met Mickey, Minnie & Goofy, rode Three Caballeros, AND had a Mickey ice cream. :) And then we had to leave around 4 for a family party. We did all that at a leisurely pace. Considering we didn't get to anything else in World Showcase, I think there is plenty for little kids to do at Epcot! :)

I will say, I have not been to DHS in over 25 years, but from everything I've seen and read, it doesn't strike me as a 'must do' with only two days. My kids were happy to pass up Sophia, Jake and Doc for the rides at Epcot.

We would also do MK and AK. I have a 2 year old DD, and she loves both of these parks. Just today, she was talking about how we should go back to Disney World so that we could ride Dumbo and see the hippos on safari. HS is fun for a half day, but there really isn't enough there to fill a whole day with little ones in my opinion. Epcot also doesn't have a lot for little kids, so I'd be inclined to skip it with only two days.
