If you could only spend $10 at Yankee Candle..

...what would you buy?

I have to buy prizes for a monthly game night that some woman friends and I have every month and there is a specific break down of the amount of money you can spend on each prize. I already bought 1st prize ($20), a tart warmer, matching plate and some tarts, I bought a non Yankee Candle prize for second prize ($15), and I also bought a non Yankee Candle last prize ($5), but I still need to buy third and fourth prizes at $10 a piece and would love to get something Yankee Candle. A lot of these ladies (there are 12 of us) like candles, but about half of them never heard of Yankee Candle. So.......

If you could only spend $10 at Yankee Candle, what would you buy?

Samplers/Votives & one holder or, more tarts! Gift certificates also might work for you. Car jars are another thought. The accessories might work but, not if someone wasn't already a YC enthusiast.

Tiggerlover-Do you play Bunko? I used to play & we had a money breakdown for how much we could spend on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, Bunko, Booby & we had a draw prize for anyone who hadn't won anything.

Lars, Bunko is the game we play! Our breakdown is most Bunko's, most wins, most losses, a draw prize and travelling Bunko. What is the booby prize for?

Hmm...Well, I think I would get two candle holders and two candles to put in it. They have some pretty votive candle holders for $2.50 and I forget how much the candles are a piece, but I'm sure that would come out to about $10.

Polly Ann, Bunko is a game of dice. You have 12 people that break down into three groups of four. You partner up with someone at your table and when the bell rings you start rolling the dice....you start with ones...if you don't get any ones on your first roll, play passes to the next person. If you do get a one or more than 1 one you keep rolling, keeping track of the number of ones you roll, if you roll three ones in one roll that is called a Bunko, which you holler out and the round ends. If no one gets a Bunko you keep rolling until someone reaches 21 points. At the end of the round the table team that has won scores a win and then that team moves to a different table, the team that lost scores a loss and stays. For the next round you can not have the same partner and you start rolling for two's following the same pattern as above. You do this for three rounds of six and then you tally your score to see who wins prizes. We do this in conjunction with a pot luck, so it is a night of food, fun, prizes and socializing.

Beanie, 10 tarts would be great if I won, but a lot of these folks do not have tart burners. That is one of the reasons that I picked a tart burner for the top prize!

PA, the votives and holders sound like a good idea to me. I think I am going to wait until September 1st and see if anything else goes on sale besides macintosh and maybe they will have some votive holders on sale too.
