Which character meal would you choose? We are going in December and are on a tight budget due to the engine in our van seizing. Talk about a budget buster Anyway, we have cut way back, but I am having a hard just picking one character meal. It will me, DH DD4,DD3, my mom & Dad and Niece 8. It is really being left in my hands so I thought I would get some opions from my Disers! TIA

If you are looking for a breakfast - the character breakfast at 'Ohana is fantastic. Great character interaction (Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch) and wonderful food. They also have a little parade for the kids to participate in. Just a lot of fun in a very cool setting. The breakfast is also reasonably priced, IMO.

My dinner pick would be Garden Grill. The characters are amazing and they usually come by more than once (3 or 4 times, sometimes!) and you get to see Chip, Dale, farmer Mickey and Pluto. The food is served family style (same as the 'Ohana breakfast) and the restaurant slowly revolves with scenes of Living with the Land. The service is good and the food is tasty.

Both are a lot of fun and must-do's for my family. Can't wait to go back to both next fall.

If you are trying to go to a character meal on a budget, I would narrow things down to breakfast. Breakfast tends to be the least expensive meal. After that it really depends on what kind of characters everyone wants to see since most of the breakfast food is similar just about everywhere (each place has its differences, but for the most part its the same). Perhaps all the girls would like Akershus with all the princesses (Belle takes a picture that is included in price, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmin, Ariel with her land legs)? 1900 Park Fare has a nice nice mix of characters for breakfast (WtP, Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice and the Mad Hatter). Donald's Breakfast Safari has the best food and CM has the fab 5.

Definately limit it to breakfast. I agree with the Akershus. With all the girls in your party, you can see quite a few princesses.

I agree with bkfst! We love Tusker House-huge array of items. Have also enjoyed Ohana's and Chef Mickeys......I would choose according to what the adults are going to enjoy. Kids are so excited for the characters they forget to eat!

Another vote for breakfast! And if you do a late one, you can avoid lunch to save even more money.

1900 Park Fare and Cape May are two of our favorites. But I enjoy them all. I haven't had anything but a very good breakfast at any of them (and I have done them all). Now sometimes the dinner buffets are harder to please everyone! It boils down to what your girls enjoy as far as characters (which is so much of what you are going for).

Also do you want a buffet or a served to you sort of meal? Because Norway and Ohana are not buffets which some people much prefer. I like the variety of a buffet but my kids are older so I can just turn them loose vs.having to get their food, get them settled and then get mine!

My family loves the Crystal Palace. They have a good selection of food and it's all pretty good. Like a previous poster mentioned. We try and get a late breakfast seating so we can make it more of a brunch. This will save you having to buy one extra meal that day. They have Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore.
