Ok...so I haven't been to DW in over 10 years & my family is super excited about our upcoming trip. Funds are tight so we are only going to book one TS ADR this trip. I haven't been there in soooo long & actually the only TS meal I've ever had at DW was the Rainforest cafe... So could everyone please give me their input regarding their FIRST choice?!!? HELP!! THANKS EVERYONE!

Oh some helpful info...It will be myself, my DH, and DD (age 12), and DSIS (age 16) that are going....so that may have an impact too.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!

narcoosees!

2 TS (on DDP)

crab cakes, whole lobster, almond crusted cheesecake!!!

If I could only book one, I'd book the Prime Time Cafe. Reasonable price, great food (especially the desserts), and the best themed restaurant in Disney World.

Prime Time is a great choice for price/quantity with teenagers who can EAT! Also, BOMA at AKL is a buffet with a fantastic selection and great food--even the picky eaters can find plenty to enjoy. It's all you can eat for a set price. We have 3 DS's in their 20's and we always go to BOMA on the first night of our trips.

If you only get to have one Table Service, I would suggest a Table Service Reservation that gives you a secondary "Bang for your Buck" such as...

California Grill, on top of the Contemporary, with a seating time which will allow you to watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. Dinner entrees run from $23-$36.

An Early Seating at a Character Meal inside the park which will allow you to enter the park before it opens and take some amazing family photos without other tourists in the picture. The Crystal Palace offers a nice meal full of characters to start out the day in the World. Some teens still enjoy the characters, while others find it too childish. Mine still enjoy it, especially since they feel like they are too old to stand in line to meet characters in the parks, but still enjoy the experience. Adult Breakfasts are $18.99 which includes a non-alcoholic beverage.

With teenagers, you may also enjoy a meal at Morocco. Their sit down restaurant, Marrakesh, features a live band and entertainment in the form of very beautiful belly dancers who travel the restaurant and will come right up to your table. The food is a bit more exotic, but we like all kinds of food. The entree prices run from $20-$32.

The Brown Derby, at MGM, is part of the Fantasmic Dinner Package, so not only do you get an amazing dinner, but you get reserved seating for the Fantasmic Show, which can be a real life saver during busy times of the year. This restaurant is more upscale and adult than most Disney locations, but if your children would enjoy a fine dining experience, then this would be a great option. The entree prices run from $18-$32. Make sure you let them know you want to be part of the package, you can't just book there and get reserved seating. They will require a Credit Card to hold your spot, and you will be charged if you don't show. If you want to cancel, you have to do so at least 48 hours in advance.

Planning can be so much fun! You can get wonderful lists of the Menu's at any Disney Restaurant at All Ears Net. We find it helpful to plan our menu before we get there.

I hope this helps.

Here is our list...didnt know what meal you were interested in so I picked for all three

1. Breakfast, Cape May

2. Lunch, Kona

3. Dinner, Le Cellier

I will give you two options, depending on your goal:

Chef Mickey's breakfast:
- Its a buffet so you can definitely fill up
- Character interaction is awesome and there ar 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald)
- One of the lower priced character meals and the food is good too

Coral Reef in Epcot, Lunch:
- Again lunch will help the budget
- Cool setting that should go over well with the teens
- Good food, nice selection so everyone can find something

If funds weren't tight, I'd say go for dinner at Narcoossee's, but paying cash on a tight budget isn't a great way to enjoy this place.

We hit all of these places for the meals listed and I would have not qualms about repeating each and everyone of them!

My family's favorite table service restaurant is Ohana's. If I could only make one reservation that is what it would be.

Thanks for all the wonderful feedback!! It's been very helpful!! Sounds like whatever we do...we can't go wrong. A friend of mine...who takes almost yearly trips...suggested Ohana's.. But I also thought Boma's or the Marakesh place sounded really neat as well. My hubby and I were given Disney dollars by our family members as an anniversary gift so we thought it would be nice to start out our vacation with a nice TS dinner our first night in the World!! Thanks to everyone's great suggestions I now have more of an idea of where to book an ADR for. And for the ones we don't choose this time.....we'll I guess that just means more trips to Disney!! :woohoo:

Thanks again!!

I really like both of these ideas too!! Hmm...decision, decisions! :)

Actually Boma is a buffet--.
We always begin our first nite at Disney with California Grill. Nice restaurant and with a view that will quickly get you into a WDW mood!!
