If you could only do one (or maybe two) TS, which ones are a must?

Hi all. We don't normally book ADRs for TS restaurants at WDW for several reasons.

1. We don't use the DP's since we just don't eat enough food for it to make sense, and we have not had free dining offers available for prior trips. Our next trip in 2010 we are going with the 4 nights/3 nights free, so I assume free dining will still not be an option.

2. It seems very difficult to plan months ahead of time where you will be each day, and to commit to specific days/times/locations for meals. We perfer not to HAVE to be somewhere, almost seems like work.

3. We are on a moderate budget when we visit WDW. We don't go too crazy on souvenirs, buy some groceries at Publix, and eat CS in the parks and at resort (CBR in this case).

That said, it would be nice to plan one, or maybe two, ADR's for TS dining if they are "not to miss" places. This means the atmosphere, food, and general fun should be high on the charts, and a good value for what you get. We are a DH, DW, DD 13 and DS 4 if that helps. What might be nice is a TS that takes us to a beautiful resort we wouldn't normally stay at like Poly or GF, or unique, good food, in a nice setting. A TS in a park is also OK, we ate at Le Cellier once way back in 2000, and CRT (dinner) once in 2004.

What would be your top one or two suggestions and reasons for dining there?

Thanks a bunch!!!

Teppan Edo:thumbsup2 --- the food:love:, entertainment, unique atmosphere...and did I mention the FOOD!:love::love:

Ohana and Crystal Palace are our favorites. I like Crystal Palace at 8am if you can get it because you enter the park before it opens and it's awesome having main street so empty! Ohana is just plain delicious.

My DH and two sons (13 and 15) would tell you Biergarten (Germany in Epcot). They love that place. They think it is fun and they love the food. I pretty much love all the places we've been.

So far, the only TS that we do every time we visit is the Ohana for breakfast. We enjoy everything about it.

For us, its 50's PTC............SO MUCH FUN!! It is my only ADR for my upcoming trip!!

We never miss BOMA, but the experience of Coral Reef (love the view of the aquarium!) is great. Foodthere... not outstanding. We also love Teppan Edo! We are trying Le Cellier for the first time next trip. FWIW, try eating TS for lunch. Better prices and less food.

Another vote for Biergarten! Fun atmosphere, entertainment and good food. It's a buffet and there really is something for everyone.

'Ohana's breakfast is also a must do for us.

As for resort restaurants, we love Kona Cafe in the Polynesian. Have eaten there twice a both meals were really terrific (although service was a little slow).

For us, this trip, it's CRT. We just came back from WDW in Sept, and we all loved eating in the castle. DD is all about the princesses and so we booked another trip in May. I asked her who she wanted to eat with and she said Cinderella in the castle. We are also planning on doing Crystal Palace again and Akershus. Right now, those are our musts!

We really like Cape May Cafe. If you want a character breakfast, it's nice and pretty relaxed. Dinner is a nice buffet - lots of choices.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is laid back, and the layout itself is very "small" compared to the other buffets.

Our must-dos on our next 7 day trip are:

1. Plaza for Lunch
2. Cape May Cafe for Dinner
3. Chef Mickey's for Breakfast (for 8 yo DD)

That's it for TS for us!

I'd say..Ohana at the Poly and WCC at WL have both good food and fun atmospheres.

Just one place? Oy you are killing me ;)

I would have to say Flying Fish because DH is in love with the NY Strip there and the seafood choices are wonderful. Been there three times and it has always been fantastic!

Le Cellier and Teppan Edo.

For my upcoming visit in November, I could not get a dinner reservation at Le Cellier, so I've booked Teppan Edo for two evenings.

Ohana is my first choice for adult meal

Chef Mickeys was a good character experience/meal

Cinderella's Royal Table - really only because DD (4) loved eating in the castle ;)

Biergarten would be number one...#2 is too hard to choose. We love so many and have never had a bad experience(though San Angel Inn wasn't great and we've never been back)
