If you could live anywhere...

I love living in Florida, so I can't really see myself moving. But, if I could live anywhere in the world, I'd have a small cottage overlooking a loch in Scotland. A simple life in a beautiful land would be ideal.

On an island. Not alone of course, maybe add a man of science, people with money, and a couple of hot babes. (great if one was a movie star).

Orlando. I lived there before and would love to live there permanently, or just in the USA and I would be happy, it's impossible but I like to dream :)

I'd want to split my time between where I am and the Florida Keys (or other tropicalish place), The U.K. (Probably Wales), and San Juan Island (in Puget Sound, Washington State). OR, just live on a ship that travels around the world!

Me too. I'd live in on the Olympic Peninsula (western WA) during the summers, Georgia in the Fall, and Florida in the winter. I have an RV and I'm not afraid to use it.

I'd live in a log house somewhere in the Arkansas Ozarks. I love the beauty, the people and really just about everything. Shopping would be my only problem so I guess that driving distance from Fayetteville would be best.

I wouldn't mind having a small apartment to visit in Amsterdam too though. I'm not sure if I could live there full time though.

I'd live in New York or New England, but spend the spring or summer in Italy - either Tuscany or maybe Venice. We just got back from a trip to Italy and it reminded me how much I love that country!

I'm very happy where I am as long as I can travel. Living in NC is perfect for DH and myself; live on the coast, have the beautiful mountains available, mild winters, great seafood, and I can get an El's shrimpburger at any time!

I'm so boring... I'd want to split my time between FL and MI.
Yep, me too. When DH retires, I hope we can stay here in Michigan in the spring/summer/fall, and do at least January - April in Florida, somewhere in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I travel the world for work, and there isn't anyplace I would rather be than home!

That's funny that you should ask because DH and I were talking about this today, too. I don't see us leaving where we are before the kids are out of school. However, when we retire and win the lottery, it would be nice to have a summer home in New England (although I've never been, I subscribe to Yankee Magazine and am a serious wannabe) and one much closer (place yet undecided) to Disney World as our winter home. We would want to be at least a few hours away so that it would still feel like we were escaping when we went there! I'm thinking near the coast somewhere.

We're hoping to get stationed at Charleston or Beaufort, SC next. San Diego is gorgeous, and we've loved it here, but it would be awesome to be within driving distance from home.

Splitting time between Stockholm, Sweden & Christchurch, New Zealand.

I don't know if I can wait the 30 years until my husband retires, I need to make an international move in the next few years to keep me sane.

If we have to retire in USA it could only be NYC. I loved living in NYC.
