If you could live anywhere where would you choose?

Love reading all about your choices!!

I would stay right where I am in New Jersey but wish the winters were warm

Hmmm...I would love to live in Fiji or somewhere in the South Pacific in one of those over water bungalows. :teeth:

Cottage on the beach someplace warm where I could walk out to beach and see dolphins cavorting just offshore....heaven.

Truthfully, I don't want to live in any one place. I dream of having (small) homes in many different places and spending a few months at each one depending on what I'm wanting. I'd love places in Belize, Ecuador (in the mountains and on the coast), France, etc. I'd also keep a small home base type of place here in Florida.

The Amalfi coast of Italy.

A beach cottage on the ocean.

It is hard to pick.

Melbourne or Brisbane Australia.

Florida. Specifically, Windermere. We can't move (dh is employed by the county, so we're stuck here), but for fun we actually researched neighborhoods in the Orlando area and picked Windermere as a good place for us to live if we should ever hit the lottery. :dance3:

Being next to WDW is a biggie for me, and we all hate the winter and snow. Dh is a FL native and would love to move back there. He wants the Orlando area because there is less hurricane risk than living on the coast. I have a couple of friends in that area, too.

Paris. I've done quite a bit of traveling and it's by far my favorite city.

In January I'm going to live exactly where I want to for the rest of my life...North Carolina. :goodvibes

Too funny ... this IS where SSB lives. Have loved it for about 15 years now ... Also loved Chicago, but winters a bit easier here. :)

It has grown so much here in just the last 4 years or so. 535 is crazy with the traffic. Great shopping in the new outdoor mall, lots of restaurant choices.
Close to all the parks, but a lot of neighborhoods going downhill with a bunch of foreclosures.

Recently, one of the houses finally sold. Now we noticed that at least 14 people are in the family. now there are no less than 9-10 cars parked in the driveway every night. :headache:

Um, Walt Disney World?

Seriously though, I have a list. Probably Switzerland for Europe. There are a number of countries in Africa that I would like to live in for a while to do anthropological field research (Botswana, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Kenya), and I will probably live in one of them in a few years for my PhD. In the US, I'd have to say NYC or HOTlanta. I am fairly happy with where I live now though.

Right here, where I live now, in a NYC suburb. Best of both worlds-- in the "country" but super close to the greatest city in the world. Besides college in RI, I've never lived anywhere else and can't imagine it!
I would live in London (second favorite city) for a year or two, but New York would always call me home!
