If you could have lunch with....

3 people that are alive:

1. My sweet sis, princess:

2. Celine Dion

3. Enrique

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3 people that are not living any more:
1. My grandma and my grandpa( sorry I could not pick one with out the other one there), I miss them both sooooooooo much.
2. Jesus
3. Walt Disney
ahhh...I do love these types of threads! If I could have lunch with 3 people, it would be:
1. My grandparents: they died when I was very young and I don't have very many memories of them.
2. God: I've got ALOT of questions :p
3. Tori Amos: She seems like very intriguing person...so why not? And I love her music!
Thats about it!
Ooh Ooh!! :Pinkbounc
I love this question, as I've been excited about it ever since I figured out who my three would be. It comes up often in conversations for me because I'm fascinated by who people pick and why.
My choices are based on people I feel I could have great discussions with and people I (hopefully) would be comfortable enough around to really enjoy the lunch.
1 - Walt Disney. For all the magical reasons we already know.
2 - JK Rowling. Sort of in the same boat as Mr. Disney, for me. Anyone who can so flawlessly produce an entirely new world for people to visit, whether literally like WDW or in their own minds, is a genius to me. Also, as an aspiring novelist myself, I would love to discuss the craft and her techniques.
3 - The Tag Fairy. :tongue:
Juuuuuuuuuust kidding. I mean, no, I'd love to have lunch with the Tag Fairy, but I just...um...well, I wouldn't want to dream TOO big after all!! :p
Actually, my #3 is my DH. I consider this to be my loophole in the deal, cause, see...I'm not married. I'm not even in a relationship, nor do I have any suitable princely prospects. Imagine how exciting it would be to meet your Mr. Disney, JK Rowling, AND your true love all in one afternoon!!
Of course...imagine how awful it would be for me to show up for lunch and see an empty chair at the table....:worried:
(PS - Reading all of these makes me extra grateful that I can still spend time with my own grandmother, so thanks for that.
In response to other people:
Britney Spears: I've actually met her several times (sat next to her at the MTV VMAs a couple years ago) and she's really very sweet. Somewhat of an idiot, yes, but sweet nonetheless.
:D
Johnny Depp: He used to be my #3 (until I got clever...he he). From what I've read and seen of him, he's not only immensely entertaining and otherwordly handsome, but he's intelligent as well. He'd definitely keep the conversation alive, and I think Mr. Disney would LOVE to meet Captain Jack Sparrow!! :p )
1) Sebastian Bach - ex-Skid Row
2) Any really old person that's experienced a lot in their lifetimes - I love history
3) Johnny Depp
1. Alfonso Cuaron: the director of HP3 who also happens to be my favorite director. I'd have lunch with anyone who is that passionate and intelligent.
2. Chuck Jones: I actually met this great man twice before he died a few years ago. One of the great animators of all time, plus an amazing sense of humor and a gentle nature about him.
3. Jane Austen: The author of my favorite book Pride and Prejudice...she was so ahead of her time. Iwould love to have a chat with her about how she perceives today's world.
Runners up are (a) JK Rowling, because she my other favorite author, plus she looks like alot of fun. However, she seems so playful, I'm not sure she ever lets anyone learn anything about her she doesn't want them to know (b) Grace Kelly, because I think she was the most beautiful woman of all time and (c) Daniel Radcliffe, because he's just so darn cute.
My Father (passed)
My Grandmother (passed away when I was 8)
My Great Grandfather (died in the 1940's) .. I have lots of ?'s for him!
Holy cow! I had the biggest crush on him back in 1991.
I actually met him when he was the lead on Broadway in Jekyll and Hyde. I hung out by the stage door with a crowd of other people while DH hid behind a telephone pole in embarrassment. :teeth:
Didn't take the time yet to read all of the replies, so hope I am not copying anyone!
1. Laura Ingalls Wilder
2. Walter E. Disney
3. My paternal grandmother (died when my dad was 16). I think she could give me some great insight into my Dad and myself!
Edited to add: I feel so bad I didn't mention Jesus!! But I guess I figure I will have plenty of time with him someday!! I was mostly thinking just of deceased people, but for living I have only one answer..............(drum roll please...)
:lovestruc DONNY OSMOND :lovestruc !!!!
(I'm always so afraid that someone on his staff is monitoring the Web and I will be pointed out as a possible stalker!! I seem to mention his name whenever possible!! But I promise I won't try to assassinate any Presidents to get his attention!:crazy: ).....P
