If you could have any CM job at Disney what would it be???

I don't think I would want to work in the parks because I'm afraid I wouldn't enjoy visiting as much. (Yes, I'm one of those afraid of 'losing the magic'). He husband wants to operate one of the boats from the resorts to MK or the monorail. Basically anything in transportation. I would maybe like to work in one of the resorts.

My daughter has had her plan in place since she was 12 and it has barely changed (she'll be 17 next week). She's going to apply for the College Program, two years (I guess that's the max you can do), then she'll take a year off to finish school if she hasn't already...then back to Disney to work her way up to CEO. At this point most people ask CEO of the whole company (probably thinking, great kid but that's a bit high to aim).....and she'll say "Don't care, CEO of anything at Disney". So...we tease her that she'll be CEO of the Janitorial Staff. And she's ok with that....and has a dozen ideas of things she'd do to make it more efficient, a more enjoyable job and she's serious, lol.

Her twin sister.....yeah, ok, I might do the CP just to be with sis, but she wants to earn a good living much sooner than it will take to work up to management status at Disney....so she's going to the Air Force Academy to become a JAG (lawyer).

Me....I just want to get them through college so that I can stop worrying about paying for all that, lol.....then I want to do something fun at Disney.....maybe a Photopass Photographer.....maybe on the phone making reservations for people....or maybe I'll be one of her janitorial staff, lol.

I want to be a front desk person at any of the Value resorts or anything at Animal Kingdom that would allow me to interact with the animals. DH says when he retires he wants to be a resort bus driver. And DS23 actually aspires to someday be one of the table service restaurant managers.

I got to go through Photopass Photographer training and I really enjoyed it. I had enough friends who were Jungle Cruise skippers that I would never in a million years willingly get trained there and trapped like so many have. As we used to say, friends don't let friends get Jungle trained haha.

Working in the parks really doesn't take away the magic unless you didn't really have it in the first place. Punching out for the day and hopping on Tower of Terror? I don't think that'll ever get old.

We've discussed (just for fun) what our family would do if we worked at Disneyland. Oldest DS would be a train engineer. Youngest DS would want to use his acting and singing skills in a show or parade. DH would be a Dapper Dan. I would be a guest services CM in City Hall.

Oh, what a fun thing to even think about! I would have to do something in Epcot, it's my favorite park. I think I'd like to do something with the different festivals - Food & Wine and Flowers... Coordinating or planning the celebrity appearances... Something like that!

I'd like to work at the General Store on the Boardwalk. It never seems that crowded so you can probably have some nice interactions with guests. It's always nice and air conditioned. I just enjoy the general atmosphere of that area.

I think a lot of other jobs like working the Haunted Mansion would be fun for about a week. Then the reality of wearing that costume outside managing the line in 95 degree heat or while it's raining...oy vey!

My dream was to be a mover (parade dancer) but at my age that ship has sailed! However, I'd LOVE to work as stage crew or a costumer for the shows. DD19 wants to be a mover or stage dancer but her height (5'6") is against her at Disney. Right now, she has accepted a role in attractions for the fall 2013 college program, so we are both pretty excited about that!

Unfortunately DH isn't a Disney-guy, so we probably won't ever live close enough to WDW for me to live my dream in SOME form (let's be honest... I'd do just about anything except maybe mousekeeper, just to work at Disney for a little bit!)

If it had to be within the resorts, I would be a tour guide at DLR.

If I could have any Disney job, I would either be an adventure guide or a trip developer for Adventures by Disney.

PS. Somebody asked earlier what may be the hardest position to get. My guess is anything within Club 33

I'd love to be a monorail pilot! My other choice would be photopass photographer on Main Street.

My DS would be an awesome Jungle Cruise skipper, he knows all the jokes, and is very I to making puns- even his delivery is spot on. I've tried talking him into the DCP, but he's really focused on finishing his degree and getting into grad school.
