We are planning on renting a motor home and going to FW sometime in 2007.
We do not have any children or real restrictions with work.
Well I do but I don't care

So if you could go any time of year when would it be and why?
PS is it too late to book?

TIA

Christmas is great, with everyone decorating their site and the parks all made-up for the holidays as well. That being said my favorite time is Halloween :rotfl2:

Truthfully, it's for the same reasons. The parks may not do much for it, but the campers go all-out on their sites making FW truly spooky that time of year. With MNSSHP and the Haunted Hayride, Halloween is always a blast there :thumbsup2

Our last trip was in October too!

The weather was perfect! :sunny:

I would be going at that time again if I didn't have kids in High School!

I like Holloween. It always fun time to camp the weather is really pleasant. You put Disney and Fort Wilderness and Holloween and it exciting time to go!

I'm one of the Christmas folks. We usually wnet near the end of Value Season after Thankgiving.

With the creation pf Pre-Holiday season we dicided this year just to go for it. We will stay over Christmas. Already have a nice romantic nite planned at Emeril's Orlando. Christmas eve festivities start with the Hoop De Do.

I really like walking the resorts and looking at the decorations. Plus, folks just seem to be in a better mood at Christmas.

Then, a ride around the campground to look at the decorations is a wonderful evening.

Haven't been there yet, waiting for our first trip in October. To us anytime camping is better than working. We do avoid the hot months and like fall after school starts.

Christmas is my favorite time at FW.
Seeya there this year !

Our favorite time is the week right after Thanksgiving. Everything is decorated for Christmas - it used to be a value season, but now it is a little more. Weather is great - low humidity. Crowds are not bad, wait time for rides is about 5 - 10 minutes. :woohoo:

We use to always go for the week of Thanksgiving thru the first week of Dec. We loved going at that time because so many people decorate. I think some of them need an extra trailer just for all the decorations. :cool1:

Kids are in school now, so we don't have the option of going for that length of time during winter anymore.

GOSH everyone chose my two fav times lol...but I can't really think of a bad time to camp there...its a great park but I do prefer the cooler weather months...CHristmas is great with all the decorations...didn't see that many at Halloween when I was there...One family had to bring a truck just to haul their decorations along with their motorhome!!! I saw more decorations in front of it than in front of most peoples HOMES!!! Have a wonderful fun filled vacation!!! DJ pirate: princess: :joker: :bounce:

My favorite is Jan. Its cool at night, warm during the day and no crowd!

Add another December vote! We always go during the first two weeks of December and I think it's the perfect time to be at WDW. MVMCP, snow on Main Street, all the decorations, and Fort Wilderness.....what could be better?

Gotta agree, Halloween is my favorite time due to MNSSHP but I like the weather better in June/July

Hey There, we've camped there in every season and hands down the best best best (I mean it was perfect) weather we had was the week after Thanksgiving, the decorations were already up in the other resorts and the Magic Kingdom, and at the campsite; it was very magical. The second week in February is my second favorite for good weather and low crowdsand price but there's the chance of a freak cold front visiting while you're there (like this past Feb.) Either way you go, it's all good when you're at Fort Wilderness!!
