What would it be and why.

And pretend you have a 5 and almost 3 year old. :lmao:

HoJo Anaheim for these reasons:

1. Location (8 min from parks and next door to MiMi's Cafe)
2. Large, clean rooms
3. Awesome pool areas and speedy's splash area
4. Entertainment Rates ($54-$69 per night)
5. Stellar customer service

How do you get the entertainment rates? And is it within walking distance? (I know you said 8 minutes, but is that on foot or a shuttle?)

Thanks!

The ent. rate is when you buy the Ent. book... You can order it online, and call and ask the hotel if they have any rates for when you are going. I have a 5yo, and a 2yo, and we stayed there in June, it was fine. For us, the walk seemed to take forever. I am extremely out of shape though... Plus it was very hot when we were there! It took us about 15 minutes to walk to the parks. The pool is fantastic for little ones though, and the rooms were nice, and we really liked staying there.

I was very impressed last week with the Park Vue Inn.1. less than 1000 steps to Main Street...very convienent for mid-day breaks
2. bunk-bed rooms, with nightlights on each bunk.
3. Good hot breakfast (waffles, fruit loops, yogurt)
4. Next door to Ihop, which has "Kids eat free" deal for lunch and dinner

The pool was on the cold side...was the only complaint i had of our trip. Hope that helps!

Thank you!! Any and all additional info is super appreciated.

I am a HUGE fan of the Tropicana on Harbor. Walking Distance to the main gate *Actually closer a Disneyland Parking lot* a decent pool, a decent free continental breakfast and friendly service with very clean rooms. The prices for the rooms are very decent as well.

We always stay at the Park Vue Inn. Main reason...Location, Location, Location! It's directly across the street from the entrance to the park! You just can't get any better than that! They also have a nice breakfast.

Thank you :D How early in advance do you get your rooms?

BWPPI, Tropicanna and Carousel are also close, we have stayed at both Carousel and Tropicanna and would definitely stay at either of these again. They are all very close to the DL entrance. I would also consider Camelot and Park Vue Inn too.

We have stayed on site and off site. We like the Candy Cane Inn and the Portofino wasn't too bad.

We just got back from our first stay at the Hojo. In the past, we have stayed at the Desert Inn, Del Sol, Anaheim Plaza Hotel, Desert Palm, etc. The Hojo was by far the nicest. The pool area was great, but the best part was the quiet factor. We were in building 2 overlooking the quiet pool and we never heard one person walking down the hall or by the pool, etc. At the places mentioned above, we would always hear people in the halls, etc and also turning on their showers. We think the trade-off of having to walk about 3-4 extra minutes is worth it and will definitely stay at Hojo again!

Plus the $54 Entertainment rate is the cheapest rate we've gotten anywhere in a long time.

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay there. :goodvibes

We really did! Thanks so much for hyping it so much. I don't think we will be staying at any other off-site hotels again, especially with thte Entertainment rate. It was fun to see the Tower of Terror from our room, too!

Don't have to pretend.. I have an almost 5 and almost 3 year old ;)

We stay at Embassy Suites on Harbor or Homewood Suites for 2 reasons- 1. we are HHonors members with Hilton and have racked up points staying exclusively at Hilton hotels when possible. 2. we need a door to put our girls to bed- separate bedrooms with a closing oor to the living area is a MUST for our family

Another Tropicana Inn fan here.. Short walk to the parks, a nice pool area and a really nice hot tub to soak in after the parks... Will stay there again on our next trip.:thumbsup2

I love the Tropicana for the location, the clean rooms and the pool area. The free breakfast is also very nice and can save you some money. Being that close to the main gate is so nice with kids or for anyone else. Going back for naps, a change of clothes or a quick swim is so easy when you stay that close. I found the staff wonderful and very helpful.

However, the pool area(s) of the Hojo are wonderful. It has a baby pool and spray jets which for the age of your kids would be great. I also loved the larger room. The grounds were lovely, the staff wonderful and although there isn't a free breakfast, they have a store that sells what you need for a reasonable price. The walk however can feel a bit far (and yes I know its not that far and that one walks a great deal on a Disney vacation) after a long day. However you can always take the ART to save steps, however it doesn't save much time since you sometimes have to wait a bit for it and costs extra. Although I very much enjoyed our stay there, since I have stayed at the crosswalk (at the Tropicana in particular) I haven't stayed at the Hojo because I know when I walk by the Tropicana I will be wishing I had stayed there instead! But a few years later my daughter still talks about that nice poola area. And the large room was wonderful.

Of the four places I have stayed offsite, these two are my favorite and I don't think you could make a bad choice with either!

You can always check reviews of different hotels at tripadvisor.com However, take the things people write with a grain of salt. Everyone has different opinions on what is acceptable and not acceptable in hotel rooms.
