If You Could Change FP+???

What Would You Change About Fastpass?

  • More Selections At Time of Initial Booking?

  • Make Ride Selections Only 30 Days Before? (Less Days)

  • Make Ride Selections 120 Days Before? (More Days)

  • Ability To Choose More Than One Headliner?

  • Ability To Choose A Ride More Than Once For Same Day?

  • Ability To Book Them Based Upon Your Reservation and Not Park Ticket Being Tied?

  • Ability To Book Attractions In Multiple Parks?

  • A Choice of 3 Rides, Plus One Character Meet, Plus One Parade or Fireworks Viewing?

As a Park Hopper, I voted for the "multiple parks" option. I understand why they don't do this, though - too many people would grab the top headliner in each of 3 parks so they don't have to decide ahead of time where to go that day.

I would also favor the option of booking the additional FP+ on your phone instead of waiting at the kiosk.

I voted for multiple parks in one day. I would like to be able to get one or two for late morning/early afternoon in one park and the rest at a different park.

Selfishly I wouldn't mind if they got rid of the tiers at DHS and EPCOT (we can already get more than one headliner at all 4 parks) because as a DVC owner who likes to plan in advance I would be getting the fat end of that. But, I understand why the tiers are in place to give more guests a shot at getting a FP for one of the top 2 attractions at DHS and EPCOT.

Don't see how everyone can be given a parade or firework option. They happen once per day and reserved seating is limited

Most of these options will never happen, because there aren't enough attractions. IMO the only thing that can change is the FP+ booking window.

Never is a long way off and a lot can happen between now and then.

I don't think the MM+ initiative was taken with just the current number of attractions and crowd levels in mind. When (some would say "if") more attractions are added, the system can be adjusted as appropriate. Also, significant changes in crowds could also produce changes to FP+. For example, if attendance plummets because of an economic downturn or backlash against FP+, Disney could make changes to try to lure more guests to its hotels. Significant new attractions might allow for some relaxing in the current restrictions, but could also produce larger crowds which would make even more restrictions necessary to accommodate everyone as much as possible.

The one thing I can say with almost near certainty is that there will be changes to the FP+ system over the next 1-3-5-10 years. They just might not come as quickly as some people would like. It's important to keep in mind that it is not much more than a year since the paper FP machines were removed from all parks, and there have been a lot of changes since then to accommodate offsite guests, AP holders, and cast members, as well as the introduction of 4th FPs. I can also say with near certainty that, whatever changes are made, some people will like them and some people won't.

I would like to see them separate, first come first served (choice of one). If you take a fireworks option, you are blocked from any additional during the day.

Sorry, I should've said: Maybe in 10- 20 years, when WDW has enough attractions, other options for FP+ will be available.

Not everybody uses smartphones. Limiting people for not having a certain technology would most likely never come to fruition.
It's true that not everyone has a smart phone. I myself only switched over last year or the year before. That said, I'm going to be shocked if they don't go over to people being able to book their fourth fast pass form their phone in the not-too-distant future. In fact, I'd say that people with a smart phone are already at an advantage over others in the parks right now. They can rearrange their FP reservations without having to go to a kiosk. They also have the advantage of the My Magic Plus app. Anyway, yes, I'm pretty sure that we will get to the point that you can book a fourth FP+ from your phone... provided they stick with FP+, which it looks like they will be doing.

I hope so! :)

Enter park. Pick a ride, scan my MB and be given a return time. One ride at a time and no limit. Let me wait in line at a shop where I can spend ALL my money. Yes please!

Isn't that already the way it is anyway? Is you FP+ fireworks you can't do anything other than your first two choices.

I picked re-rides and more initial - I'd stick with 4 initial. I agree that adding more from your phone should be way up there, but kiosks would need to remain for mon-smart phone users and connection problems.

I think if a person buys hoppers, they should be able to pick their initial 4 rides divided among two parks. Not a choice for people with only a base ticket (ike me -I don't hop) so you don't get people reserving only headliners in every park "just in case" they go to that park.

I didn't have a complaint about the hour window, but I like a PP's idea abou 2hour windows that are permitted to overlap. I think it may help alleviate the over scheduled feeling many people complain about.

I like the idea of the rolling 1 that someone suggested. More like legacy FP but with the perks of FP+.
get rid of tiering in the parks that already have limited choices.
Meet and greets should be a separate type of FP.

Get rid of tiering, and the inability to FP the same ride twice. Both things that didn't exist before FP+. :headache::headache::mad::mad:

They're all good ideas. I really hate having to decide on things so far out (and I'm a planner!), but I know why Disney does it, so it likely won't change, even though I'd love to see shorter advance windows for everything.

Functionally, I'd like to be able to book 4th FP from a phone or tablet rather than having to stand in those ridiculous lines at kiosks. Either that or add more kiosks for cryin' out loud! Agree that kiosks should definitely be left in place, though, for non-phone users and tech issues, and lines would be much shorter. The rolling idea is a great one, and if combined with phone functionality would make things really convenient. You could adjust your day as you go and not feel so locked in to what you had to choose 2 months ago.

Another pet peeve of mine, that I haven't seen mentioned, is to do away with the system's automatically assigning more FP's if I only really want to book 1. It wastes them, and who really is going to spend the time and aggravation to go in and try to cancel FP's they know they aren't going to use? We often times will go in the afternoon, and just want to do one ride, and I feel guilty taking up 2 more FPs from someone whom I know would want them. I often try to cancel the extras, but the ap is so dang glitchy that I give up most of the time. So... that brings up another option... Un-Glitch the ap! LOL.

I don't either, but not having it count against your attractions allocation would be nice. But then again, that may or may not make them a hot and difficult to obtain commodity.

I don't see the value of the parade FP+. We had no trouble seeing the parades and it was quite busy when we were there.

I love the idea of making extra FP+ available via app and kiosk. I don't generally cart a phone around with me but this could lead to shorter lines at the kiosks.
