If you could add a new park, what would it be?

YES, that's imaginative. :rotfl:

Although there's no England or UK, I think a ride on a round-about would be fun. Imagine your family (like Clark Griswald's) trying to get off, and you keep going faster.

I don't know what I was just thinking, but I specifically remember seeing Mary Poppins in the UK, eating at the Rose & Crown AND seeing the British Invasion. Sorry 'bout that I am a true Diser, I AM, I AM!!!!!!

My mind is on trying to win that trip!

Am I the only one who thinks a villain park would be a terrible idea? The other parks copy Disney...when Disney starts copying all the other parks out there, it looks tacky.
Tacky, I suppose. It surely doesn't make the idea look important enough to pursue. A new theme park would have to be something really new -- something really big -- or it just wouldn't be worth it given that they've already got four of 'em in Florida.

Ditto for the American History Park. Just have to convince Virginia folks.

We live in the West Coast, so a cruise line in California, an Epcot and an Animal Kingdom here would be great! That way we don't have to fly all the way to Florida.

I love shows, so how about a venue where you can watch all sorts of Disney Broadway and Disney on Ice shows without having to fly to New York or catching the tour when it comes to your town. You can take your pick of Lion King, Beauty & the Beast, the upcoming Mary Poppins and Little Mermaid, and all sorts of Disney on Ice shows.

I challenge everyone to come up with a ride for each of the showcase countries. It is your chance to be an Imagineer!! Have fun and be creative! :grouphug:

Canada: a log flume ride (AKA Splash Mountain) or some ride where you're on a dog sled racing across the tundra.

Morroco: Flying carpet ride (AKA Aladdin's carpet, but more elaborate)

That's it. I'm out.

OK, I'll try to be first at imagineering a WS ride.
How about for France?
The ride could be a quick retreat to the parking lot.

In Italy, there could be a big restaurant with a line down the middle, and halfway through the meal, everyone would get up and switch sides......

I agree with mostly all of you. Disney's America sounds like a great idea (I am all for education on vacation), a land for the villains would be cool, and more thrill rides/coasters is on my wish list, too. I also think that MGM needs some renovation/update, and whatever happened to the magical creatures section of Animal Kingdom?

What I would really like to see, though, is more countries added to the World Showcase. JMO.

I doubt folks from France or Italy would find some of the posts in this thread humorous.

One other thing I'd like to see. Rather than just another park, I'd like a new land that has the "retired" rides, and some of the rides from DisneyLand, like the Roger Rabbit ride and the Matterhorn.

Thats a really good idea.

I don't know if you have ever been to Kings Dominion in Virginia, but they have this bobsled ride there. OMG, it is SOOOO fun!! and I hate roller coasters.

Yeah, a ride like Avalanche would work great in Germany (they dominate the sport). I haven't been to KD in years, always had AP when I was in high school, I hear it isn't very family friendly anymore.

Grumpy, where's that video?!?

My theme park would be a Remembrance Park. Let's bring back some of those old classics that we all miss. Horizons, Dream Flight, the original Journey Into Imagination and World of Motion. These are some of the best rides of all time and I miss them.

And I'm sorry, but Disney may be cheesy at times (in a good way), but it is NOT tacky! I LOVE thrill rides...but I do not go to Disney to play on coasters all day. Plus, it eliminates half of the market. If you build a park with all coasters, then the families with small children can't go. They can send their teens there, but the small kids wouldn't be able to ride and would have a terrible time.

what other theme park has a park based on villians??? i've never heard of it. and no one is saying "all coasters".

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...this sounds like a good one. Chocolate and candy everywhere. YES!! My kind of theme park.

it's actually called Hershey Park and it's in Hershey, PA lol

i'd love for them to expand Epcot and add a few more countries(i'm patiently awating Ireland....i'd have a blast!).

and i'd have to agree with the majority i think that a villian-based park would be amazing! not all kids enjoy the "good guys" of the story, lots of them like the bad guys too! and i don't think it has to be "geared" towards a certain age group, just make it fun for everyone.

i think DisneySea is a good idea, but i saw a show they did on the Travel Channel for it....and it doesn't look THAT exciting. i dunno, maybe if i actually went to it, i would change my mind.
