If you are PIF, and DCL gave you the chance to cancel w/o penalty, would you?

Anyone who says other cruise lines nickel and dime probably hasn't looked too closely at them lately. Celebrity and NCL offer the most all inclusive options in the mainstream cruise industry and far surpass DCL in that regard. You can easily book a package with all the bells and whistles included for far less than the base cost of a DCL cruise. Even Carnival doesn't feel like a constant money grab to me. My total onboard charges with them are typically the same or less than my DCL charges.

I wouldn't sail on a Carnival ship even if it was FREE!!! They don't maintain their ships IMHO to a standard I find acceptable. I was in Florida in March 2013 and 2 of them had issues while cruising and they FINALLY started inspecting their fleet and voluntary pulled nine other ships in for serious maintenance!!!
Thanks but no thanks!!!!!

No
I booked this cruise for several reasons, none of which include the alcohol or signed pillowcases. Those were a nice bonus. I would have loved to bring a bottle of vodka and have drinks on the balcony after the kids were asleep, but wine will be fine too. Or I can get a drink from the bar. No biggie.

We looked at sailing on NCL for next summer. They had some really great deals we wanted to take advantage of but it seemed like I couldn't get a straight answer from their reservation team. They had all inclusive drinks but only covered certain drinks, all restaurant venues but their were exceptions to that, then I heard they were charging for room service, kids club after certain hours......and we just got frustrated and cancelled our ressie. I openly admit I have NEVER sailed them but the whole time talking with their reps and posting on another cruise forum I had this feeling like they were trying to full a fast one over me.....

After the Triumph and Splendor and Concordia issues, there was a lot of inspections and work , at the direction of the lines P and I clubs (insurance) and USCG and others.

No. Though I am thinking of looking at other lines. Not because of the alcohol or no more Mickey Mail. We have sailed 14 times and the price is really getting ridiculous especially when there is such a difference in our Canadian dollar. I doubt we will book on line this time. Just to give us options for next year.

I would definitely say "No" but I was a bit disappointed about the policy change. My DH prefers wine coolers and now we cannot bring any on board and DCL does not currently sell any either, however that was the only alcohol we brought on board. And Disney does not have ridiculous prices for alcohol either and the "drink of the day" ($4.50) is very much a mild drink for those of us who are not big drinkers. Between my DH and I we spent about $100 on alcoholic beverages for four days. We just didn't have time to always go back to the room to drink, we were too busy running after our son and participating in the many many activities the boat offers. And while lounging at the pool it was just easier to order form one of the cast members coming around willing to bring you a drink without ever having to move form your lounge chair.

No. Actually just made my next cruise easier. No worries about getting alcohol there and it saves me cab fare to ABC Liquor. I'll put that savings toward my first drink!!

No way!
We booked our first cruise ever for next spring.
Never occurred to me when I booked that they would allow you to bring your own booze or even water and I just do not get the whole autograph thing.
That being said, it is a pricey vacation so this just might be a once in a life-time deal for us anyway.kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Booked another while onboard last week!! DCL is still the best in our opinion. And if the change in alcohol policy weeds out some of the other cruisers who don't want to buy their alcohol onboard....well c'est la vie. ;)
